Lovely when u enter reception . The ceiling in my room was covered in flaking paint due to damp and i sat in bar area for 10 minutes and still no sign of a bartender so left.. then went back after food and drinks elsewhere to be keep awake until 5am with a party and banging in toom room next to us. Then soon as i managed to drop off i was woken by cleaners banging and slamming. I know they got a job to do by check out aint until 11 so u think some consideration would be had

Breakfast was lovely and room was spacious, but difficult to cool on a hot summer day, aircon available but restricted to set low at 16C but couldnt reach near this. Shower was tempermental on getting right temperature, cold on second morning. Staff friendly.

Booked a suite, turned out it was a triple room so an expense could have been lessened for a standard room as didn’t have the amenities that it should have. Also ran out of hot water so I couldn’t shower on my final night or the morning of my departure

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Yes, it doesn’t look much from the outside, but work has been done on the inside to modernise the property. Rooms were spacious, clean and had a big, comfortable bed. It was quiet and there are plenty of places to eat close by. Parking was easy at the hotel, but do not follow the website interaction to each the carpark as the road you are directed to passed specsavers is now a no entry. If you arrive and are looking directly at the hotel follow the road around to the right of the hotel and take the first road on the left for the car park. Only one small working lift when we stayed, but we were on the 2nd floor so the stairs weren’t an issue. Shower screen did not have a seal onto the bath so flooded the bathroom when used, but this has been noted by the staff for a repair. Pleasant enough stay for a few nights.
