Great location

A great base for our family celebration. 4 adults and three children stayed comfortably here. Close to public transport and good communication.

Upon arrival the place seemed somewhat smaller than pictured; bathrooms are a tight fit, bedrooms have room for yourself and no more, and the staircase is very skinny. I was surprised this wasn’t noted in the listing. However, the common living space were perfectly suited to our group of 7.I saw some reviews which mentioned cockroaches in the property… they weren’t wrong. I was a little grossed out when I saw one run across our bedroom floor shortly after we arrived - no exposed door or open windows could have attracted it. We saw several others throughout the duration of our trip in other areas of the house. My recommendation would be to have some bug spray at the property, for peace of mind, (we killed them with shoes).The weather during our stay was humid, temperate and mild. The aircon worked wonderfully downstairs, but because it was only downstairs, and heat rises, the warmth upstairs was noticeable. The fans were somewhat helpful but on a short cord with the height not being adjustable, they provided small relief.Amenities of towels, bed sheets, kitchen cutlery and appliances were super helpful and greatly appreciated. We used the vacuum once and it spurted sand out, along with some smoky fumes. We didn’t use it again.The location was top notch! A restaurant, cafe, rooftop bar on every corner. Walking distance to shops, city centre and many transport options. Overall we had a great stay, I mention these pedantic things as I would myself would like to have known.

Rear laneway is very narrow which made it almost impossible for any car that is larger than a mini copper to be properly parked in the garage. No air conditioning upstairs which made the stay a little uncomfortable during 40 degree days. Bathrooms are small but functional. Good communication and great location otherwise.
