We had a great stay at the Mercure for a family trip to take my daughters to their first concert and Vivid Sydney. The location is awesome being so close to Central station and other public transport as well as easy walking distance to Chinatown and Darling Harbour. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the buffet breakfast was delicious! The only issue we had was it was difficult to contact the staff if we needed help with anything, I rang through the in room telephone and got no answer on several different lines and on another occasion when I was right in front of the concierge desk to ask a question about the closest light rail station the 2 staff members there just continued on with a personal conversation and didn’t even acknowledge me until I went to walk away. Other than this the staff were very friendly and helpful and check in and out was a breeze. I would definitely recommend staying here 😊

I came to Sydney to watch Les miserables. The accommodation was close to the ICC and transport. It was comfortable, clean, and affordable. We both enjoyed the breakfast and the service was impeccable. We will stay here again.

Good location for transport

This hotel is basically located at the Sydney central station. The hotel was of a standard you would expect for the Mercure chain. The site stated that there is a mini bar and I checked in at 9.30pm, room service concluded at 9pm and nothing in the mini bar except long life "milk". This was disappointing

Just a short walk to Central Station. The room was clean and the AC worked fine. The bed was comfortable. The washroom was a good size. The beakfast buffet was good but not alot of change from day to day. The hotel bar Eve's was nice and prices were reasonable for a hotel bar. The only big draw back was that there was not a lot of storage for clothes.
