We had a nice, comfortable one-night stay at The Urban Newtown, perfectly located in the heart of Newtown. It’s just a 30-minute train ride to Circular Quay and all the main Sydney sights, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. I’d recommend booking a car parking spot with the hotel in advance, it’s a shame this has to be arranged and paid for separately, but understandable given how busy the area is. The welcome drink and snacks were a lovely touch and made us feel very welcome.

Main issue was had to get out of bed to turn the light off. The room was small but I guess that was the price i paid for. other issue no chocalate drink packet and refilling of hot drinks haphazard e.g only brown sugar replace white sugar was not. Focus on training cleaning staff. Also no face flannels. I used the hand towel for wetting my s=face for shaving.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Urban. It was so clean, quiet, very central and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly, helpful and so professional. They even offered us an afternoon drink. That doesn't happen very often. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Stayed twice now. Love the location, perfect for a show at the Enmore of just a night out in Newtown. Lacks alot of parking, but can easily find affordable overnight parking within walking distance. Great room, amazing lush plants in foyer, free beer or cider on arrival. Couldn't ask for more really

The good: staff seemed lovely, room (King Studio) was spacious, location is great The bad: the bed was 2 singles pushed together (even though it was the “King” Studio), the bathroom smelt of sewage and was pretty tired, no sound insulation, room was super bright at night
