Nice little motel

Just a roadside motel, but very clean and fine for an overnight if you just need a place to sleep and shower. The bathroom was bright and spacious, the shower was nice and hot. The bed was a little uncomfortable for me, but my husband thought it was fine. There was a nice sized refrigerator in the room and a keurig in the lobby. A gas station/convenience store is right down the road and the village of Camillus is a short drive. If you are not looking for a full service hotel, I would recommend the Nightshade. Quiet, safe and clean.

My daughter & I wanted to visit Skaneateles. Nightshade was just a 10-15 minute drive. Looks like 1950s motel from the road, but very cute, clean & well kept. Our room was as nice or even nicer than some upscale, expensive places I’ve stayed. Very clean, sleek & stylish. The bathroom was gorgeous! Looked recently remodeled. There was bottled water & bowls of snacks & fresh fruit in our room, which I thought was a very nice touch. Coffee, tea, fruit & pastries were available each morning in the office. The owner, Sing, was very friendly & accomodating. I will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

This location was close enough to the university that I could easily move between the two. I felt very safe and the room was very clean. I wish the tv had local stations. I was unable to watch live TV unless I put in my personal information which did make me comfortable.

Older property on the outside, but the room had been redone on the inside. Shower was beautiful! Staff was very accommodating even when we were a little late arriving.

I really enjoyed my stay at Nightshade Inn & Gardens! The staff was accommodating and friendly, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and had a very “homey” feel to it. The bathroom was the same way. Will definitely recommend staying here to friends and family when visiting, and I will be staying again myself!

I booked this room through expedia and needed to modify the reservation upon arrival and stay one less day. Our flight into syracuse had been delayed and we were making stops along the way to dropping my son off at college. 3 other hotels were able to make the change for me with no issues. The owners at nightshade were either unwilling or unable to make the adjustment. Also, the internet was spotty during the afternoon and would not work for my laptop or the television both of the nights we stayed here. The room was fine, the owners were friendly but for our purposes it wasn’t great. We did sleep well though so that’s something.

Although the motel was dated, the staff made us feel very welcomed . The snacks and fresh fruit as well as bottled water was a personal touch . The updated rooms and absolute cleanliness was a plus ! Convenient location too.

We didn’t stay. We left. The room had an odor that made my wife sick. The mattress on the bed was old and too thin. The room was also tiny. I do not understand how it was rated so highly. There were zero amenities. It’s a roadside motel that was listed on your site as a hotel
