Irumoteso is located in a beautiful calm area close to uehara port. It's a clean, well kept hostel whose owner is really kind and mindful about the guests. Could not have a better experience.

The owner Kiyoko San is such a heart warming host. She made me feel very welcome and helped out with everything I needed. Very much recommend her place if you want to experience Iriomote and Japanese hospitality. Arigato goseimasu!

Close to nature

The stay was amazing, very relaxing place for depressed traveller. I specially came here to scape from all the stress from work and was really chill. The owner was very helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend this place for people who likes to stay clise with nature

Great sea views, a bit aside the village but not far away. Beatiful nature (be careful of bats and boars in the night). Great spot for stargazing and sun-set. Keiko is amazing and joyful host and helps you with everything. Including on-spot tour guide reservations.

My partner and I stayed for two nights and loved it at Irumote So! The room was spacious, the hosts are so lovely, and the hostel is equipped with everything you need. The rooftop patio was a beautiful place to watch the sun set. It’s a little far from town but the hosts will pick you up and drop you off from the ferry terminal. There’s a restaurant nearby which was great for dinners both nights. 10/10 would recommend to anyone staying in Iriomote.

The hostel is very nice and comfortable, but what makes the real difference is the kind and welcoming touch of the hosts. Yoriko-san, the manager, cared greatly about us (especially about my pregnant wife) and provided tons of useful info about potential activities to do. The other lady picked us from the ferry terminal and brought us back. We are sorry for having you worried Yoriko the night that our cell phones died! Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

おかみさんの関さんが本当に親切で、静かに星を眺められる、素敵なゲストハウスです！ ただただのんびりしたい方にはオススメ！港からも歩けなくはない距離で、ただ、夜は真っ暗になるので歩くのはオススメしませんが。その分星は綺麗に見えます！

女将さん一人で切り盛りされている素敵な宿でした。 港から距離はあるものの、車で送迎していただいたり、1時間200円で自転車がレンタルできます。 部屋は6畳ほどの和室で、エアコンがついていたので、「宿は寝るだけ」タイプの自分には十分な設備でした。 宿の前には海が見える広い庭があり、チェアやハンモック、テーブルも設置されているため、ゆったりとリラックスすることができます。 屋上にも上がることができるため、天気が良ければ星がよく見えます。 スーパーまでは徒歩で20分ほどの距離があるので少々不便ですが、朝の散歩にはちょうど良い距離です。 夕飯はあらかじめ予約時に指定しておく必要があります。宿に到着後、夕飯を追加できないか相談してみましたが、ダメでした。 その時は、徒歩5分ほどのところにバーがあるので、食事をしたりお酒を楽しむことができます。 また利用させていただきます。

自然の中でゆっくり過ごせる場所

3泊4日でお世話になりました。行きは港まで送迎をお願いしました。近くのスーパーにも寄ってくださったりとお気遣いありがとうございました。館内は非常に綺麗で掃除が行き届いておりました。食事がないプランでしたがコーヒーや紅茶はフリードリンクでしたし、近くに飲食店もありましたので利用しました。洗濯機は1回200円で使用できました。とてもゆっくりとした時間を過ごすことが出来る場所です。

年に数回こちらに泊まり、ダイビングをしたり、庭から海を眺めてビールを飲んだりします。 こちらからの予約だと食事はつけられないので、近くのお店に食事に行きます。（西表島の食事処は送迎があったりします） 掃除が行き届いているので、とても綺麗ですが、虫が部屋に入ってくることはもちろんあります。 絶対に虫がヤダ！という方はこの宿に限らず西表島は無理ですw

最高でした！ 周りにはほぼ何もなく、宿の目の前には広い芝とハンモックがあり、海が見え、夜は満点の星空で流れ星も見えました。のんびりゆったり、無計画に過ごすのもおすすめです。時期ハズレですが蛍もいました。 宿では自転車のレンタルが可能、港前のガソリンスタンドでは単車レンタルもあるそうで、島を探索することもできます。 オーナーのきよこさんがとても素敵な方で、また会いに来たいなと思いました！掃除も隅々まで行き届いており快適。 港からは徒歩で20分ほど、連絡すれば送迎してくれます。夜暗くなってから出歩く時にはケータイのライトか懐中電灯を持っていってください。宿の周辺は真っ暗でライトなしでは歩くのが大変です。
