Exceptional Experience

We had such a great stay at Rancho Allegre. The house is incredible—spacious, comfortable, and really well set up for a group. It has everything you need, but in a way that feels relaxed and livable, not over the top. We spent most of our time moving between the pool, the outdoor space, and the big common areas—it just works so well for hanging out together. The Vida Pinilla team made a huge difference. They were super helpful and easy to work with from the start, and once we were there, everything just felt taken care of. Nothing felt forced—they were just consistently on top of things and made the whole stay really smooth. The location is also a big plus. Hacienda Pinilla has a ton to offer—great golf, horseback riding, trails for walking or biking, and the beach club was a daily go-to. Plus, there are a bunch of really good restaurants nearby, so you can mix it up between staying in and going out without any hassle. It’s one of those places where everything feels easy. We all left wishing we had booked a longer stay.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Rancho Alegre! The home and property were so luxurious and the daily housekeeping and cooking was such a nice touch. The house manager promptly responded to questions. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone seeking a luxurious stay in Hacienda Pinilla.

AMAZING STAY!

Rancho Alegre is an absolutely amazing destination. The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The location is great, close to the beach and to Tamarindo. Vida Pinilla was so great with helping us organize everything which made our vacation that much more relaxing. I highly recommend Rancho Alegre for anyone traveling to Costa RIca!

The perfect place to share with family or friends

I find it hard to explain how amazing this house really is. It has beautiful areas to have fun around the pool or share a meal around the kitchen but at the same time even with a big family everyone can have their space and relax. The arquitecture and design fit perfectly. And the best part an incredible pool overlooking trees where birds come to sing.

The house was amazing. Pool is large. Resort pool we used quite a bit and the beach is just for the community which was awesome. Joel and the concierge group were pretty good. They provide a lot of great information but dropped the ball several times. Came home one night and lost all water function to the entire house. It basically had lost power and reset. Had a few days with no working coffee pot and had a large restaurant reservation made by their team that did not exist when we got there. The GTxpedition group that helped with tours was excellent. Small things but overall it was a fantastic week

We love casa Rancho Alegre , this is our second time staying here ! It is such a spacious beautiful house that even though you are a big group it doesn’t feel like you are in a big group 😊 , very well distributed house to enjoy your own privacy and to socialize with family or friends, we will most definitely be coming back!

Exceptional house and amenities

I highly recommend Rancho Alegre. The home and community was perfect for our vacation retreat! A few highlights include, the outdoor covered area, well appointed finishes and spacious bedrooms. The community had plenty for everyone including mountain bike rentals with a fantastic trail system, Pickleball courts, a short walk to golf and a beach club that has everything. Can’t wait to return!

Pura Vida!

I stayed in this beautiful home in March and was awestruck by the serenity and comfort that the country and house provided. The neighborhood is a wonderful place to walk around and interact with others in. The golf course is beautiful and there are two perfect beaches in walking distance. I would go back to Costa Rica in a heartbeat but I would especially return to this home to experience luxurious comfort.

Beautiful house, far from things

We had an absolute blast. The house was BEAUTIFUL, pictures didn’t do it justice! We LOVED our house keeper, she made delicious breakfast for us daily and was super friendly/helpful! Had great communication with host and security at the gate was never an issue like some reviews had mentioned. It did take a solid 10 minutes to get out of the neighborhood which was a bummer. Between traffic and washed away roads with a LOT of potholes it did take a while to get to beaches/restaurants etc.

Everything about our stay and the property was ALEGRE!!! Let's start off with the property - It's a dream home and an exclusive home. Every detail of the home was laid out perfectly. As soon as you walk in the living room and dining room are spacious which opens up to an incredible view of the pool, outside bar and 2nd hole of the golf course. Each bedroom was decorated with a beach theme, Spanish style accents and an on suite bathroom. The kitchen has the best appliances and the kitchen island is huge and entertaining for gathering. This is a home away from home ... MUCHO ALEGRE - Pura Vida :)

How we fell in love with Rancho Alegre

My family and I had the pleasure of staying for a whole week in this magical place. It is a beautiful house surrounded by nature and tranquility, where we enjoyed every moment of our vacation. The house itself is spacious, immaculate, and well furnished. It has everything you need to feel comfortable and relaxed. It also has a BBQ outside that we used a couple of times to grill some delicious meals. The rooms and bathrooms are very nice, with cozy beds, we slept like babies every night. The house also has a wonderful swimming pool outside, where we had a lot of fun splashing around and cooling off. My favorite time of the day was early in the morning, when I went for a swim. It was so peaceful and serene. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Rancho Alegre and it's now one of our favorite places in Costa Rica. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation.

Don’t be put off by the lack of reviews-it is just because it is a brand new listing! House is even better than the pictures show. It had 4 master suites plus a bunk room plus 2 living/hang out rooms. Plenty of bathrooms, living space, and a huge kitchen. The housekeeping was excellent and friendly. The management is where this property really shines though-they helped us arrange everything: grocery delivery, a private chef, activities, airport pick up, restaurant suggestions…it was amazing. They could not have been any more helpful. Unless you want to be directly on ocean (this house is about a 5 minute golf cart ride down to water), stay here! It is 100% worth it.

Truly a great experience from the time I arrived to departure. Everyday was great. The vibe in Costa Rica was exceptional. I have visited several countries around the world, this is a a great part of the world. The residents of the areas I visited were top notch down to earth with no expectations. My friends new home is 5 star in everyway. Open space in and out, grounds, amenities, personal touches. The clubhouse and beach are beyond normal expectations and surpass any luxury resort I have ever stayed at. The trip from the airport to the home and area is 1 hour ride and a chance to see Costa Rica as it has developed and moving ahead. The area had nothing to hide as many countries do in south America. I cannot recommend my friends home and area of CR enough! This is a great place not just to visit but live the rest of your life. Sean Lahey

Amazing house but difficult in a few ways

The house itself was great, the pool and large bedrooms and open concept layout made it a real winner for the whole group. Some issues I had were with the hosts. Communicating with them was a coin toss, and they’re only available 8am to 5pm so if you need help with anything past 5 pm, you’re out of luck which was inconvenient since places I’ve stayed at before are usually responsive whenever needed. The location is very secure in the hacienda pinilla community but this made getting transportation really difficult and I think that needs to be made more clear. They say you have access to all these things like the tennis courts and the resort but there’s no way to get to them unless you have a car or golf cart which is around $100 a day. This also makes getting food really difficult. Also every car has to be approved for the gate entrance so everytime I needed someone approved I had to message the host (who would be unavailable after 5 pm), making things very inconvenient. Cleanliness- overall it was really good, there was some issues with alot of bugs in the bedroom restrooms but besides that it’s a very well taken care of and beautiful house. I think my main takeaway is the location issue, If you do not have a car then you’ll have to be okay with the following- being in a neighborhood that takes 12 minutes to get out of and has no access to food deliveries and difficult to get transportation.

Amazing Place!

The house has everything you can think of. The social area in the house is spacious and very comfortable. Beautiful kitchen and dinning for those who enjoy cooking . The bedrooms and the bathrooms have a beautiful design . We enjoyed the perfect size swimming pool and the awesome garden. We will love to come back to this amazing place soon.
