We stayed for three nights in late July with another family. Check-in was smooth, the cabin was clean, the stars at night were amazing, and the kids loved wading in the creek.Unfortunately, we found significant water damage leading down to the basementâwet drywall, blistered peeling paint, and visible mold, which were messaged the host about the first evening. The basement smelled and felt damp. Ventilation was also tricky. Only one door had a screen and one window was missing a screen, so we couldnât open enough windows/doors to cool off the place without bugs coming in. The upstairs AC unit could not be felt on the main floor. On checkout morning, the host asked us to leave by 10:00 instead of the 11:00 listed, due to a same-day booking. Weâve never experienced that before. This property has potential, especially in cooler months and when the basement was not needed. With some maintenance and better follow-through, it could be a great stay.
Loved our time here. like to go back. Lacked nothing! Amazing views! you will feel alone here. are neighbors but can't really see them & never heard them.was worried about it being hot- was not- hot inside. we were all comfortable :) inside water does have a smell ( well water) but it did not bother us- we brought water to drink just in case. creek near by- can hear it..just a 2 min walk down to it. ill add a photo :) no luck for us fishing in it. like to come back sometime.
Booked this property and it was a prime location for everything, close to the mountains and rivers and at the same time only a few miles to town and great eating places. The host was quick to respond to questions.
If you want to have trees all around, then this is the place. And how can you not love the big windows with that amazing view? Itâs not that far of a drive to Taos. My husband and I enjoyed being able to come back to the same place every evening for four nights. We used the grill which worked perfectly. Everything was clean, except I would recommend repairing the accordion doors between the main floor bedroom and living room. We loved our stay here!
This cabin is hidden away and perfect for a secluded getaway. Not being from the area we had to get used to the minerals in the water, but otherwise its close to Taos and lots of things to do. We had three generations there and everyone was satisfied.
This little place is definitely off the beaten path, which is what we were looking for. We enjoyed cooking fish we caught and grilling steaks over a campfire. The kitchen is well-appointed and living area is comfortable. The beds and bathrooms are a bit more rustic than where we usually stay, but it was still comfortable. And Brooke was very responsive.
We had a wonderful stay at this home just outside of Taos! The location was perfectâonly about 12 minutes from town, making it easy to explore restaurants, shops, and local attractions. It also provided great access to Taos Ski Valley, Sipapu, and Angel Fire, which was a huge plus for our trip. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The setting was peaceful and scenic, giving us a true getaway feel while still being close to all the action. The host was responsive and made the whole experience seamless.Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great stay near Taos!
House was great, location was even better. 10 minutes from town but extremely remote. Everything you could need for a relaxing get away in the mountains
We came to ski Sipapu and it was a perfect cabin with lots of natural light. We enjoyed the stay! Everything was so cute and easy to use! Make sure you take down entry code and internet password before you get there, as there is no cell service at the cabin!
Our cabin boasted scenic views with large windows. Our internet connection was surprisingly strong despite our remote location. Beds were extremely comfortable. We enjoyed close proximity to Walmart, and equal distance from Sipapu ski resort and Taos ski valley. The cabin was perfect for our family. Age range of kids 3 to 15. We would love to stay there again!
We enjoyed our stay at this cute cabin! We were in town from out of state to ski at Sipapu and couldnt have asked for a better place! Would definitely stay again.
Just what I was looking for. Secluded home at the end of the road. With beautiful Mountain views. Very peaceful and tranquil. No king size beds, but sleeps five adults comfortably. If youâre looking for peace and quiet and beautiful views, this is where to stay. I will definitely be back.
Stayed at the house back in 2022. Was back again in 2024. Had a great stay. Will stay again next time Iâm back in Taos. Did I leave a blue and white bandana in the dryer?
Enjoyed everything about the property and accommodations. Only one complaint... there is a sulfur smell in the water. It probably needs checked out to make sure there is not a serious problem affecting water safety.
Great property. Great hostess. Our family of 7 fit just fine. Nice views. Nice deck/porch areas. Itâs about 10min to the Plaza in Taos and about 20min to Sipapu ski area, so the location was good for us. Winter weather was not a problem for access in our 2WD van (though, it does have snow tires). Kitchen was sufficient for cooking suppers at night. You can hear the rush of the nearby stream. Definitely a property to book again in the future.
