The expansive outdoor areas offer tons of room to play, relax, and soak in the natural beauty of Lake Hickory – perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply unwinding on the shore.

Guests will have private access to the entire cottage, the grounds, and the private waterfront.

* **Security:** For your security, we have two exterior cameras. One is focused on the front door and the other on the backyard. To protect your privacy, their views do not cover any screened-in areas or the home's interior. They are only accessed if security concerns arise.

The place was very roomy for 7 adults and 2 small dogs. Plenty of plates/utensils. Also plenty of dining spaces both inside/outside. Needed more clothes hangers and dressers or shelfs. Even went kayaking (Sept. 10-14) Would go their again.

The house and space for us was really good, especially the game room for our teenagers. We had some issues with the smart tvs that took awhile but our stay was good and the description of it being a lake house that has been added on to over the years was good. The little beach was perfect for our youngest and for those who were watching her. I am sure had the weather been warmer. Labor Day this year was unseasonably cool) we would have used the tiki bar more. The deck off the game room was great for the evenings and the grill and patio Table were good as well. For us older folks a few more lamps might have been good but again, that did not hinder our good time. The whole house was clean and the kitchen had everything we wanted. Thanks for a good weekend

Beautiful lake house BUT I caution elderly, disabled or visually impaired individuals before booking. The bathrooms on the main floor are not handicap accessible. But most importantly there are 2 places in the home that the floor level changes and blends in with the floor. We had several falls, one resulting in a pulled muscle of one of the elderly men who was in our group. This is a wonderful lake retreat for the average traveler, with no complaints. But I wish I’d have read reviews from others explaining the challenges that we found.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The house was more than adequately stocked. We truly appreciated being able to use the kayaks. There were toys for the kids. The extras like the highchair and jumper were a huge help for our grand daughter !!!

Awesome family home

We had such a great time , the house was roomy and spacious, inside and out. It gave our kids lots of things to do and a lot of family quality time and wonderful memories, we will definitely be back again, we loved it .

Awesome outdoor space

The outdoor bar was very nice and inviting. The beach part of the lake was also great! I love that this house had several areas for outdoor entertainment. The property has a super sweet cat named Bucket that hangs around, she was another highlight of the house! The photos and price of the home did raise expectations and once we arrived I felt the home was a bit run down. However, the house was well equipped and the game room was updated and very enjoyable! The home being dog friendly was an absolute selling point! Overall, it was a great trip.

Sleepless at Lake Hickory

It did have a lot of space to hang out in and gather. It was very dated but pretty clean. Was very accommodating of our fur babies and did have a good view. But did not sleep well at all on those beds, very uncomfortable. They needed to change their air filter...we all woke up with soar throats and stuffy noses. Couldn't use paddle boat because it was full of water, there wasn't a gas grill , just charcoal...it was a good rental for the off season price...but would not rent this for full price in the full season... I rate this rental as okay..
