The shower and sheets were discusting. I asked for the shower to be cleaned and the sheets to be changed, was told it wasnt time to change the sheets and that they would clean up the bathroom which they didnt. I couldnt use the thermostat because water would leak from the vent in the bathroom, house cleaning left it on begore i even got there and water did pour from the ceiling.

The building is fantastic, unfortunately I have had 2 negative experiences so far. The first time I stayed my room was outside the ice machine which is extremely loud at 3:30am. This time I was given a Handicapped access room and the shower flooded the entire bathroom floor which I was only able to mop up slightly with the limited number of towels I had. The hotel did give me another room the second night, but I wasn't happy at all. Beautiful rooms, helpful staff 2 bad experiences but i will be back.

We were given a room in the basement that was directly underneath the dining room. The noise was unbearable and we had limited amount of sleep due to the noise. The window in the room was up so high that we could not see out of it. The room was damp and had an infestation of silverfish on the floor. Very limited parking spots on sight. The breakfast was cold eggs, greasy sausage and no coffee unless you asked for staff to refill the canisters. So very disappointing that we will never stay at the Courthouse again. If I could recommend anything it would be to stay clear of this hotel. Don’t waste your money.

We traveled 6 hours from Minnesota to Thunder Bay Ontario only to find we can’t say there because Expedia let us down again. We checked in (Expedia did not share l requested a handicapped room. -Again!! ) we were unable to check in because they don accept debit card or cash for the incidental fee. They said it was their site but not responsible for Expedia. We were screwed by Expedia again. Found out that that’s they do things everywhere!!!! Pouring rain and dark out we had to stay in Minnesota. I. Hate. Expedia.

My initial experience at The Courthouse Hotel was exceptionally positive. While I was initially disappointed to learn my room was located on the lower level, the room itself proved to be remarkably impressive. It was, without a doubt, the finest hotel room I've enjoyed during my annual road trips between Alberta and Ontario. The room's quality almost seemed to be a mispricing, as it was far superior to what I anticipated. In comparison, I recently stayed at a motel in Sault Ste. Marie, paying $20 less, and the Courthouse Hotel was far superior. I highly recommend this hotel and will certainly make it my preferred choice for future travels.
