This is a lovely cabin, very private location. Plenty to do there and the surrounding area. The cabin was as advertised, very clean, and well stocked. We had no problem with the lights or hot water, all worked perfectly. Would stay again.
Donât even consider staying here, the entire place was unsanitary and a major health hazard, cob webs are everywhere and the toilet had a black moldy substance on it, lights for the bathroom was broken. No cell service anywhere near the cabin so you canât even contact the host. The sign the host claims that shows the house was fallen down and the entire property was sketchy at best with extremely narrow off road tracks which arenât shown in the photos. If you drive a little into the property one side is a cliff and itâs nearly impossible to reverse out. Entire area near the house had a funky smell as well. Stay at your own risk.
I was in the area for the 250th anniversary of the Green Mountain Boys' assault on Fort Ticonderoga and stayed for two nights at "Camp Howard".I had the best time, it's a really cute yet very spacious cottage, remote and yet easily accessible along a private road.It was truly refreshing to not have cell service, it took me a few hours before I truly relaxed. There is a river down below the back of the cottage and I fell asleep at night hearing the noise of the water.Great property in a wonderful area, I will be back!
It was everything that was described. Beautiful cabin and property. Not ideal for hauling a boat or parking one. The shower was cool but so was the water or to hot. But overall a great place and would go back again. There is very little cell service which i liked but was in return hard to communicate with owner's and the tournament staff for the bass tournament we were fishing. But that was also in the ad for cabin. A get away for a couple or a family id rate it a 10 out of 10. For hunting id say the same. Thanks for having us at your beautiful place â€ïž
Exactly as pictured and advertised, this hospitable cabin was perfect for housing 4 kids (plus tiny cosleeping infant!) and 1 parent. It was especially helpful to have ready-made beds, trash service, and the big cooler. Solar power was easy to use, and so was the propane stove and well water. The kids loved the games and books and loft. There is so much to do in the surrounding area. If I could have one wish, it would be that the outhouse be farther from the house. It's hard to keep an outhouse from smelling bad, but it would be nice to have it wafting into the open windows a little less. Not much to be done, and it didn't ruin the fun. We also ran into lots of poison ivy, but a good wash with Dawn soap after a hike kept the rashes away!
