The location and friendly staff are the key attributes of this hotel. We rented a room on the 5th floor with one queen size and one sofa bed. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the Ikebukuro subway station, and there are many restaurants, and game arcades in the area. There is also a 7 Eleven and Denny's restaurant adjacent to the hotel. The room is fairly standard for Japan, meaning it is a bit small and cramped. It could use more lighting, new carpet, a dresser, a full size trash can (in the bathroom), and a safe. Wi-Fi was very good, as was the water pressure for the shower. Toiletries are free and available in the lobby. There is also a microwave, and beverage machine in the lobby for free water, coffee, and tea.
Despite it's shortcomings there are enough positives that I would consider staying at the Centurion again in the future.
