The hotel was in a perfect location, just across a road from the Hanzomon subway station - which is well connected and only a few shows from the Shibuya area and near the Imperial Palace. The hotel rooms are much smaller than western hotel rooms, but nevertheless we felt they were big enough - the bed was against one wall which meant that you had to climb into the bed, rather than get in from the side, but not too much of inconvenience. The bathroom was pretty standard with a bath/shower combination, toilet and wash hand basin. We booked two rooms in this hotel and the hotel more than facilitated my request to have the rooms on the same floor - they were beside each other. The rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday. Also on the day that we arrived, the hotel kept our bags (as we were too early to check in) and on the day that we left they also kept our bags so that we could continue to explore Tokyo before we went to get the bullet train. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, but found a coffee shop nearby. We found a reasonable choice of restaurants nearby - say within 1km - all walkable. In summary we had a great time at the hotel, it is very comfortable and in a great location.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Monterey Hanzomon. What a perfect location for us. Right by the rail, walking to great restaurants, all the room amenities and great hairdryer, very relaxing and very quiet. We would definitely stay here again. Arigato gozaimasu to the staff and especially the lovely lady that greeted us for breakfast on the first 2 mornings. She is wonderful!

Shops a short metro ride away. Shrines and park walking distance. Quiet, safe neighbourhood to walk after dark, with delightful, small local restaurants for dinner. Room was small, clean, pyjamas and slippers to wear, water, coffee, tea, usual hotel amenities.
