This is a great place in a quiet, yet very accessible area. * Great sized little apartment was perfect for two people - plenty of space for relaxing. * All the amenities provided so this was great. * The only "negative" I have is that there was no housekeeping at all - no cleaning even for longer stays (we were there for 9 nights) You could exchange for clean towels after three nights I think which isn't that big a deal given there was a washer/dryer in the unit. You also have to take out your own rubbish - not an issue. Combini and small local restaurants nearby. Locals in these restaurants are friendly and accomodating to English speakers. Supermarket is also pretty close up the road around the corner. Easy walk to main roads with more restaurants, donkii. Probably about 15 mins to larger shopping centres. Easy walk (about 20?) to main Akihabara shopping strip. Subway (Tokyo Metro - Yumisha station on Chiyoda line) is about 2-3 minutes walk away. Use the Exit 5 Soto-Kanda gate for closest exit.

Very nice little apartment hotel! Helpful staff, spacious, clean rooms and lovely boutique vibe. Quite neighborhood with great food nearby including Nepalese restaurant right on the corner, 10 steps away! Would highly recommend Section L hotels.

We stayed at this aparthotel for 4 nights. It's technically in Yushima, but it's primarily Ueno. It was perfect, close to train stations, shopping of all kind, local shrine, etc. Pre-checkin was super easy, and arrival was just as simple & quick. Staff was cordial upon arrival and accommodating with the luggage at check-out. The only thing was the bed; it was pretty hard, and I woke up feeling stiff every morning. I remedied it with nice hot shower & bath though. But overall a really nice & convenient place to stay that we'd highly recommend to anyone.

We ended up going to the wrong location in Ueno at first, so make sure to know which location as there are multiple. Room worked out nicely for our family. Bathroom has a nice bathtub for our little one as well. No real views from our room, windows were obscured glass. Thank maybe the only down side. Other than that- good location, and great staff!

Room had a strong uncomfortable smell in it. It never went away, even with an ozone machine that was provided. Unfortunately I was not offered a separate room. Our clothes still have that smell even weeks after the trip.

This is an apartment hotel and best suited for longer stays. The rooms are well stocked with a decent size kitchen and in-suite laundry unit. It's clean and reasonably priced. The neighbourhood is very close to many train lines. But the best thing about Section L is the staff. Very friendly and very helpful!

Small comfy room!

Location was great, tucked away from the noise and crowds, yet still convenient to the attractions & public transport. I chose it specifically for its proximity to the Ueno station to the Narita airport. The room was typically Japanese small but efficient & organized. We were three so we played luggage tetris but there is storage under the bed. We were thankful for the kitchen and washer/dryer (detergent included). Everything was thoughtful. The beds were comfortable. They had already set up the sofa bed when we arrived, which was a nice touch. Like it a lot!

Ottima scelta se si cerca una soluzione con anche cucina e lavatrice, che noi abbiamo utilizzato ampiamente. Il personale molto gentile, però noi siamo rimaste 5 notti e non sono mai venuti a fare le pulizie, né a cambiare gli asciugamani. Ci è sembrato non consono alla struttura. Forse avremmo dovuto chiederlo ma, solitamente, dopo 3 notti un cambio asciugamani almeno dovrebbero farlo.

The hotel is in a good location and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the room I thought I booked was not the room I got. Make sure you know exactly what you are getting. The room we had was extremely small, with a small frosted window that only about a couple inches. If you are at all claustrophobic, you may not be able to manage. I asked for a different room, but they were fully booked. However, they did agree to refund our stay minus the one night we stayed. This was very kind of them, and I was able to find more suitable accommodation.

Section L Yushima is like an efficiency apartment, with a kitchenette and washing machine. It is spacious by Tokyo standards. It is on a quiet side street in the Yushima neighborhood, south of Ueno. There is a Chiyoda Metro entrance just around the corner. There is no maid service, but they have English-speaking attendants (English mother tongue, I would say...) in the lobby 24-7, which is a nice service.
