Our ceiling roof in the room was falling down, the restaurant was closed we had to eat at the bar with a limited menu and there was nowhere else to eat in this small town

I don know about ghosts but there were unexpected angels at the Mizpah Hotel I ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere with no cell service and no one stopping—just me and my dog, Oliver, walking alone. Thankfully, a kind stranger picked us up and dropped us at the Mizpah Hotel, where Kate at the front desk immediately saw how shaken I was. She gave Oliver water and treats, helped me contact AAA, and made us feel completely safe and cared for. After more travel mishaps, I finally made it back to the hotel at 12:30 AM—Kate was still there, still kind, and still going above and beyond. This hotel is not only beautiful and historic, but it’s full of heart. Lesson learned: Never pass a gas station in Nevada without topping off! And if you’re ever in Tonopah, stay at the Mizpah.

The lobby is charming. The rooms are not cleaned well and are suffering from deferred maintenance - water damage in the bathroom and on the ceiling of our room, the box springs on the beds are just bare box springs, etc. Our window wouldn’t open for some reason.

This hotel is run down. Our room was bad. Will not ever stay there again. The toilet seat had feces on it so it hadn’t been cleaned. The tub area was so nasty that we didn’t use it. For $153.00 a night it was awful

A wonderful sense of history. Very clean but needs attention. The sink cold tap did not work and using wood shims to keep the windows open was annoying. Especially since the A/C was not working. The staff was efficient and professional.

The bed was broken. The chair ws s so I’d it it unusable. The water in the shower changed from cold to hot to normal several tomes without touching anything. The sink faucet had to be turned like it was broken for water to even come out. The elevator call button shocked you and it felt like the elevator was barely functioning. The parking sucked as in your car or bike felt unsafe to leave overnight. The room was cold even when the heat was on. Would not stay again and don’t recommend staying. Keep driving.
