Rooms were clean and comfortable. They were spacious and well-furnished, The neighborhood, in an older part of town, appeared somewhat unkempt and run-down,We found practically no shops or restaurants conveniently nearby.
Lots of communication, but took a while to get the info I wanted
Easy check-in and out. The apartment was as I expected. Listing states there is a hot tub, but there isn't. Property manager said they've been trying to change the listing and offered me free use of laundry for the misunderstanding. I asked at least 3 times where the laundry was located before I got an answer. Other tenants were very nice and helped me find it. One machine serves 3 apartments, so it took a day before I could use it. Watch your first step. Lots of helpful neighborhood tips from the property manager. I liked the location. Other tenants showed me where I could park around back when the street patking was all taken up. Would stay at this property again.
I traveled to Topeka solo for a 3 day professional conference. This unit is charming with a ton of original woodwork - Iâm a nerd who loves that kind of detail. The unit is as advertised and was very comfortable. Huge plus is that the bed is KING sized, not queen like you find in most units. The check in and out processes were super simple - keypad entry and no required check-out tasks! The host communication was excellent; I heard from them regularly and they always responded in a promptly. The only draw back for me was the neighborhood; while it was fairly quiet, most of the houses on the street are fairly run-down. I did not, however, ever feel unsafe. I would certainly stay here again.
Only complaint is that description didnât mention it was 2nd floor with stairs. Due to wifeâs medical problems that would have been a deal breaker. Otherwise property was as described. 3rd night the was a roof leak in bedroom. Host responded quickly and moved us to empty apartment downstairs. That was great!
