My partner and our 2 dogs were able to take a long weekend at this beautiful cabin in Vermont. I loved the large windows, the fireplace, the full kitchen and the king size bed. It was a perfect base camp for some easy hiking trails and for rainy evenings the cabin was stocked with lots of board games. We all really enjoyed our stay. Check in and out were a breeze and continued with the relaxation.
We booked this property for a ski vacation over kids winter break, and found it was perfect for our needs. Very clean property, modern appliances in well-equipped kitchen, loft area the kids loved and full of games, plenty of hot water and good temperature control throughout the home, beautiful private master suite, and functional fireplace with plenty of firewood. Easy 25 minute drive to Mt. Snow. Owner was very communicative with a guide and daily check-ins. Property is well-maintained, and check-out process was straighforward. Do recommend 4 wheel drive vehicle during winter snow in VT, as access to house was a little challenging in two-wheel drive van, but we made it with some effort.
Super nice, cozy cabin with all the necessary kitchen tools. Keurig pods and creamer pods in the fridge were a really nice touch! Bed was comfy and shower was great too. Pet friendly is also a great bonus!
We had a wonderful weekend at this charming log cabin in a beautiful setting with a view of the river. I stayed out the house with my husband, my two children (11 and 13) and or small pup. The house was clean, cozy and very comfortable. It was also beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. We enjoyed our days skiing at Stratton which is about a 25 minute drive away, and spent our evenings snuggling by the fire, watching games and movies and cooking in the lovely, well stocked kitchen. It snowed while we were there so the kids also spent some time playing in the large yard next to the house. We hope to come back next year!
This location and home was stunning in every way! If you are looking for a true Vermont feel this is the place for you! The home was exactly as described. Beautiful and rustic! Cozy and warm! Fully stocked as described and the coffee/hot cocoa bar was such a treat after being out in the cold. The decor in the home was so cool! The river was great view even in December! My partner and I got married in a small ceremony at the Scott Bridge which could be seen from a distance from the home! It was the perfect little touch! Tommy the host was undeniably responsive and ensured our stay was perfect the whole time! He even made sure our first night stay was comfortable or if we needed anything! I would highly recommend this location. Plus Townshend and the surrounding areas have so much to offer even in the winter months! Get out and see/love Vermont and support Tommy by renting his home!
We were looking for a quiet place off season to explore. What a gem. Cabin was very clean and comfy. Hit the weather jackpot with the extended Indian Summer and a few cold nights. Wood stove was great. Nice yard, literally steps to the West River. Views were great in the backyard. If you're a gravel biker, 1/4 mile away from miles of gravel & climbs. Close access to local markets for provisions, beer, beef and other goodies. Host was very responsive answering questions within minutes. Traveled our senior dog, he loved just hanging in the yard with 2 steps to the grass. Already looking at another booking, must be great in the summer with river.
This place is fantastic. Truly exceptional. Unmatched scenery. Also, this cabin has everything you possibly need. I would highly recommend and canât wait to be back at this unique hideout.
Exactly as advertised, clean and up to date cabin right on the river in a quiet neighborhood. My husband and I stayed with our dog for the weekend. Check in was easy as promised, there was firewood on the back deck for purchase (though we grabbed our own on the way up). The fireplace definitely kept us warm and almost overly toasty. (Which is not remotely a bad thing) The host had clearly thought of everything when it came to amenities down to the stocked Keurig station and ear plugs in case your partner snores. Our dog enjoyed his stay as well. There was an easy walking trail nearby, and dinner at the Fat Crow had us and the local friends we made wishing we could come by more often. The host was communicative and accommodating throughout our stay. Hopefully we'll be back soon!
This cabin is so so cozy and clean and we absolutely loved everything about it! The interior decoration is well done - adorable simply inviting! The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked and thoughtfully appointed with every necessary amenity. You have to think of nothing but enjoying yourself. Tommy, the host, was great to work with. He is easily reachable and answered any questions we had. We would definitely be staying here again!
