Our stay was in late August with unseasonal chilly temperatures. This unit has no heat or, at best, no user friendly heat. Linens and towels should have been changed out for newer sets years ago. Bathroom is tiny. Shower has no hand holds and nothing to help prevent slips and falls. One parking spot provided with dilapidated step and entry-way. (a litigious person's dream stay). Other family members stayed elsewhere with a much different experience, so nice accommodations can be found in Suttons Bay, just not here.
My daughter and I spent a week here in July and had such a great time together. The cabin is just as pictured and is such a great place to explore Suttonâs Bay and the peninsula. Lots of thoughtful little touches included (even a little screwdriver in a kitchen drawer that saved my sunglasses, and games, a puzzleâŠ). Check in was easy. All the details we needed were provided in app. We never needed to contact the host but Iâve no doubt she would have been available and helpful
Had all the immensities. Parking is not good hard to park and unload luggage not enough room.Cabin has a funny smell not like mold more like some kind of burning smell.Quiet needs some upgrades. All in all nice place.
As soon as we arrived, we realized there was a broken toilet seat and lid. I contacted the host. Her response was quick as was her arrival to fix the problem. 5 stars for customer service alone.
Enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Suttons BayâŠthe cabin is tucked away of the Main Street and convenient to the variety of restaurants if not the wineries surrounding the area or great hiking trails. Comfy, comfy bed, kitchen stocked with necessary utensils and cozy space.
Great place to stay for our long weekend.
Everything about the property was as advertised and clean.
Itâs dated and lacks some space in the bathroom and 2nd bedroom, but we would stay again.
When we arrived after a difficult drive thru construction traffic my husband and I were exhausted. When we opened to door of this run down shack, squeezed between buildings in a back alley, we were horrified. Itâs filthy, dilapidated and smells strongly of mold. The windows have no screens so we couldnât even open the windows. The property manager did not answer our calls. Fortunately a very kind VRBO rep agreed to give us a full refund so we could get a hotel, but since we were in town for our sonâs wedding that meant we had to stay much further away than we wanted to. Do not book this place. It is just a dumpy old building someone is using to grift money. The photos on the site are not at all accurate.
This was our second time staying at Carolâs cabin and we loved it just as much as the first stay! The location is perfect for hanging out in Suttons Bay, walking to dinner and the shops, or hopping on the bike trails and quick trips to the wineries. The patio is great for sipping wines bought at the wineries, the beds are comfy, and the cabin is stocked with anything you could need! Thanks so much again, Carol! Weâll be back next year!
Location is fabulous for beach, town and TART.
Cabin has musty smell typical for lake area; lightly scented candles and opening screened windows helped. We kept blinds up to let light in after we gave the windows an amateur cleaning. Really made a difference. A/C is good. is great for am coffee/happy hour.
We were in town for our friends 50th anniversary and wanted something right in town. The location was perfect and the. Cottage was clean and well equipped. Loved it.
Second visit to the cabin. The cabin is very well situated close to town as well as Leland, Northport and Traverse City. Very affordable and clean cabin.
It was great and well worth our get away. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities that were needed. Shopping and eating downtown was in walking distance from the cabin. Walking the pier by the Marina was so relaxing.
The owner was the best. Very supportive and most appreciated in an unexpected situation.
