The James Joyce Hotel is a small hotel on a very narrow street in a pedestrian zone near the main plaza of Trieste, an ideal location. The hotel is intimate, quiet, and super-clean. We only stayed one night, but when we return to Trieste this will be our first choice.

Great central location, especially for those taking a cruise out of Trieste. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the pier. Very good breakfast. Only drawback was the room was very small - hard to maneuver around especially with luggage.

The location was perfect for exploring Trieste. The hotel is very close to the Piazza Unita d'Italia. There were many shops and restaurants nearby. When we checked in, we were given a map and detailed information on places of interest and how to get to them. The breakfast was tasty and had a great variety of foods-even GF!

Wonderful hotel! Our train was late, and the staff waited for us to check in. The room was clean and comfortable. Very close to walk to places. Great family pizza place around the corner! Wish we had more time to explore-Trieste is beautiful! Would highly recommend staying here
