We loved the old charm of this home,. The closeness to town was great. Trick or treat was going on and the town vendors went all out for it. We enjoyed the boutiques and the local family owned restaurants. The home was comfortable, especially liked the sunroom.
Fantastic location- can walk to many shops and restaurants on the square. Steep stairs that split at the top, which was disclosed in the description (just keep in mind for elderly or very young children). Would absolutely stay here again.
I will always check availability of The Historic Troy house in Troy, OH when visiting family in Troy. The entire quick and easy process from reserving to checking out went beyond my expectations! Charming house in a charming, hospitable town is literally within short walking distance from food and fun. Thanks to all who helped me make my mother have an unforgettable Motherâs day!!!
We enjoyed the location. We could walk to area restaurants. We were in Troy to bike. The bike path was very easy to ride to from the house. We had 3 couples and enjoyed having the porch and dining table as places to gather. The property manager kept us very informed with arrival facts.
My husband and I wanted a little getaway for our 19 year anniversary when we arrived at the home we found a beautiful flower arrangement with some chocolate candles and stuff animals it was very thoughtful for them to think of us we had communication between the owners which went great we didnât have any problems with the home it was perfect and clean for being on a main road it was really quiet we didnât really hear the train it is close to a lot of shops bakery restaurant we plan to stay again when itâs warmer to be able to walk all the different places the history behind this home is very interesting
Had wanted to stay in Dayton at our usual suites. They were sold out due to March Madness.Had wonderful experience with Vrbo in the past (Pigeon Forge TN).House was more than large enough to meet our needs. Good staging area to meet far flung relatives. Never feeling cramped like gatherings in motel rooms/suites often do.We live near train tracks back home, so we did not notice the trains after the first night.Minor issues at check in (heat and light from the sun disabled entry door lock momentarily. Had to shade unit and allow it to cool off).Upstairs bathroom sink was slow and got slower. Small plunger was handy (on going problem?)Overall, a very pleasant place to stay while in the Troy/Dayton area.
I cannot say enough about this amazing home and the wonderful host. The place was huge! It was very clean too : ) My husband and I traveled with our teen daughter and a close family friend. We had our own bedrooms and there were enough bathrooms (2.5) that we did not have any problems getting ready in the mornings. There is a livingroom downstairs and another one upstairs! Both had tvâs, so in our downtime, everyone was able to be comfortable in their own space. There is even a great sunroom with another huge couch. Thatâs a total of 3 couches! We only had 4 people total, but this place would hold many more. There were fans in each bedroom that were great for white noise. There is a great coffee shop with delicious scones just a short walk away. Our host was the best! He even let us come in a day early. He was helpful when I had trouble getting in one night. (My fault, I used the wrong code) He was able to reset remotely and we got in with no problems. If youâre looking for a clean and comfortable stay, look no further!
We booked this home not realizing the location was a bonus! Uptown Troy was at our doorstep. Morning walks to get coffee, fresh baked bread, or meals was a daily treat. We enjoyed the large historic home and the beautifully renovated details. The kitchen was amazing. The nearby trains were a treat for my husband, but others may think differently. We hope to return and enjoy this home again some day.
Super convenient to all the down town shops, cafes, and such. Plenty of space to stretch out with excellent choice of furnishings. The directions were clear and we appreciated the warm welcome notes. It was a home away from home and we would definitely stay again. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful historic house with lots of character and added class. The owner was amazing with communicating from the booking to the check out! It was nice to be in walking distance of several restaurants and little shops. It is close to train tracks for any light sleepers, however overall a great place so glad we stayed here!
Big enough house for the 3 of us. If more than 3 be aware there's only 1 sofa per sitting room. Would rent again however would like to see that the kitchen gets a toaster and maybe a couple of cookie sheets.
We had a great time.
