Northstar ski trails

Our stay at Ski Trails was great! Perfect location for a ski in/ski out. The home was lovely, spacious, incredibly clean and perfect for what we were looking for. Highly recommend!Thanks for a great stay. We will be back!

Great place awesome location

Such a nice house, we always love staying in the condos on the hill.. Short walk to the village run, so easy even with a 6 and 9 year old. clean place with good beds.. the bunks are huge. the master bed is a little small but its a small room. living room was comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well. couldn't get the fire place to work and the TV only had 12 channels. I'm sure there was a way to get our streaming services but we couldn't figure it out. Other then that it was a GREAT spot!

Great location for ski in/out

Pros:The location is excellent, with a very convenient walking distance to the village and easy access to the condo ski run.Kitchen and bathrooms were notably clean upon arrival, which was appreciated.Cons:Linens were limited, with only a few bath and hand towels provided, and no washcloths available.The kitchenware is outdated, particularly the worn Teflon non-stick pans and plastic cooking utensils. Additionally, supplies like foil and plastic wrap were missing.The primary bedroom is quite small, consistent with previous reviews making exiting from one side of the bed impossible.Closets were largely unusable as they were cluttered with miscellaneous items. There were fans and humidifiers placed randomly in every room.The bedroom blind was broken, carpets could benefit from a deep cleaning, and the bedding feels outdated and could use an upgrade.There were no instructions for using the "smart TV," leaving us limited to only basic cable channels through the menu.Overall, while the location and cleanliness were great, the property could benefit from more attention to detail, and a few updates to improve the guest experience.

Overall Good Stay

Pros - excellent location, great amenities, clean property. Cons - the space was great for our kids - the upstairs bedroom with the bunk beds had lots of space and a good size en suite bathroom; however, for us parents, the space in the downstairs bedroom was very tight and the bathroom was small as well. Better if rooms were flip-flopped. Also, the window in the downstairs bedroom was literally a couple of feet from a window for the adjacent unit - it was hot that labor day weekend and with no a/c had to open windows. Unfortunately for us, our neighbors had a colicky baby who was screaming all through-out the night and it felt like the baby was in the room with us - didn't make for a good night sleep. I suppose there isn't a whole lot that could have been done about that - I guess other than not staying there when the temps are in the mid-80's, so you don't have to keep windows open at night. It was still a nice place though and again the location was prime.

Loved this pet friendly ski in/ski out condo

Clean condo. Communication for opening and closing were good. Short walk to the village and to the gondola. Didn't cook, but kitchen seemed well stocked. Paper and soap products were provided which is nice. There are three flights of stairs just a FYI. Will be back!

NIcely updated Ski Trails Condo

We very much enjoyed our ski trails stay. This condo has nicely updated bathrooms and kitchen, very convenient to the village, unit is a top floor one which makes it quieter and it has convenient access to a common washer/dryer. Communication with the property manager was prompt and very helpful. We look forward to coming again.

Great condo in convenient location

3rd floor comfortable & clean 2-bedroom Northstar condo. 3-5 min walk to the slopes and convenient walk or shuttle to the Village. Can see the gondola out the window. Enjoyed cooking meals in the kitchen and played the games/puzzles provided. Laundry was not in unit, but instead community laundry steps from the condo. Our family and dog had a wonderful stay!

Holiday Stay

We planned our Christmas holiday this year for skiing at Northstar. The condo worked out perfectly. Close to the resort and close to the grocery store. We brought Christmas decorations and transformed the condo into a holiday look. It also worked to have our dogs with us.

Nice place but lots of stairs

We enjoyed our stay - very convenient getting to the Village - house is well maintained. The stairs became an issue - three flights of stairs to the condo we did not know about as well as the condo has no deck-it was a beautiful weekend so the fans were used the whole time. Wi-fi and Apple TV did not work for us.

Comfy spot for family

We loved staying at the condo for our recent trip. The location was ideal as we had activities between Tahoe Vista and Truckee. Staying so close to the resort was the best of both worlds - the village and NPOA pool and bbq area was fun to visit, but it was nice & quiet when we retreated back to our place to sleep. The condo was super clean, well-appointed (plenty of towels, kitchen wares, etc) and comfy beds. The kids loved watching the gondola through the trees. Definitely would stay again!

Nice stay

I stayed here with my husband, one of our kids and our dog. It was a nice size place for us. There was plenty of towels. You’ll want to bring hand soap and spices, oils, etc if you want to cook in the unit. There was salt and pepper only. The unit is less than a 10 min walk to the village. So very close and conveniently located. We got two parking passes. There was plenty of parking (caveat that we were there over 4th of July week so Northstar wasn’t full). There is no AC but there are a couple of fans. Overall, I’d recommend the place.

A home away from home just above the north village at Northstar

Delighted! Would definitely stay again when I'm back this way. Wood-frame queen-size bunk beds in the upstairs (master) bedroom was an interesting touch. One mattress was stiff and the other soft, so my wife and I both had a bed that we could sleep comfortably on. So restful. Recommended.

Excellent location

We were here during a major storm and the location saved us. Roads were closed or treacherous but we could walk to the Northstar village in under 10 minutes and could walk 3 minutes to the slopes to ski in/ski out.
