Had such a great stay here! The house is clean and well stocked, bedrooms are comfortable and lots of seating throughout the house. It was a great place for a girls trip close to campus and the hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive to anything we may need.
Space is gorgeous, well designed, and artfully decorated. Superb gathering spaces outside and inside the house. Being a short term rental owner/operator myself, I do find it disappointing when owners/management donât visit and maintain the property to ensure all remains in the condition promised in the listing. Record player was broken, Bluetooth speaker System was inoperable, the exterior of the property needed a pretty thorough cleaning and straightening which I did on arrival, one wall of power in the kitchen did not work leading to the stove and oven being inoperable, and at least one overhead light was burned out or broken. While the management was responsive in writing, the response was not timely to fix the things I reported during my stay and they have as yet been unwilling to compensate me for the listing not being in the promised condition.
Our family loved our stay especially the pool! The guest was very attentive and answered any questions we had. Stayed with our entire family ranging from all ages was perfect. Our host even left us a fun gift we appreciated so much. Will stay again in the future.
Wonderful property not too far from campus that we had four couples rent for University of Arizonaâs homecoming weekend. All rooms and bathrooms were nicely done with everything we needed. The main house had enough room and seating to hang out and the casita was extra cute with an additional living space.
The house was absolutely beautiful and such a comfortable place to stay with my group of friends! The neighborhood is great and thereâs a few good places to eat and drink that are walkable. Erin was very easy to get a hold of with any questions, but everything was laid out so perfectly that we hardly needed anything. Amazing trip!
A charming home in a great location convenient to Saguaro National Park and many great food options. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the pool during the hot summer days!
We enjoyed the property very much. The pool was wonderful and our 12 year old twins enjoyed having their own rooms. We felt comfortable and enjoyed the weekend.
We loved the character of this home in such a quaint neighborhood! We were on spring break for a mother/daughter trip with friends. Erin was super communicative. It was very hot during our visit, so AC was wonderful in the main house and casita. Pool was great, but would have loved some more lounge seating. (But the girls certainly didn't have a problem lying literally everywhere!) Water pressure was perfect. Enough lounging space for all. Kitchen was stocked, but a little short for 8 ppl (we kept having to wash mugs and silverware.) But that was a minor inconvenience. Very quiet historical neighborhood that was great to walk around. Just a few blocks from Starbucks, fyi. Close to University and fun restaurants.
Great stay in a wonderful neighborhood. The hosts were very responsive to our questions and have great suggestions for things to do and see while in town.
The property was very clean and suited the needs of our group perfectly! Greatly appreciate the communication prior to, during and after our stay on anything that was needed and in answering any questions we had. Will certainly look to stay at this property again! Thank you!!!
The house had a clean pool that our kids enjoyed. The grandparent stayed inside to be cool and was able to see out the pool via the big back windows. The beds were very comfortable. Would come back and recommend the stay. The only issues is that all the larking is on the street by house. But sam Hughes is a safe community - no issues
We had wonderful stay!
Erin's house is very spacious, very tastefully decorated and outdoor areas are to die for :)
Erin was able to capture heart and soul of the Old Pueblo (we used to live in Tucson in the past). There are so many small details that make you feel you are in the desert (ie: greasewood branches in the shower which give off smell of rain in the desert). We loved the carpets, furniture and all the southwestern detail. Outdoor landscaping was great too.
We used both pool and hot tub and spend most of our days hanging by the pool. The neighborhood is quiet and eclectic with big trees, adobe style houses, beautiful frontwards and desert vegetation. You can smell blooming lemon trees and see cardinals in the yards. It is jogging/walking distance to the UofA campus. Central location makes it much more easier to go either west or east without driving across whole town (we have visited both Sonora Desert Museum, Sabino Canyon and Mt Lemmon).
There is small casita behind the main house but both outdoor areas are completely private (casita guests do not access outdoor space of the main property)
Great communication with the owner.
Rental is pricy but you get what you pay for.
Would like to rent again when visiting Tucson in the future.
My 2 children, husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Desert Hues property over Thanksgiving. Overall, the house suited us very well. The only things to note are that there are 2 outdoor areas (one with the pool and a couch and some lounges, and one with a larger seating area/eating table/grill/outdoor fireplace). This was a slight issue for us as had chosen the house to let our kids swim freely in the pool while we visited with family members outside, but the seating area on the pool side was more limited. Not a huge problem, just something to note. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful and the house suited us quite well!
