Loved the place. It was a shame that the pond was so low that we had difficulty navigating around the rocks to get out to deeper water. Also, the canoe was damaged and leaked. When we notified the property manager, he seemed to not be concerned, nor did he offer to arrange a canoe that did not leak. It was our primary water vessel for fishing out of, so it was rather unfortunate. We did love how well stocked the firewood was, as it was an overall rainy week.
The property is better than the photos. The high cathedral ceilings in the great room and family room are spacious. The kitchen, baths, laundry were well stocked on arrival. We especially enjoyed the paddle boards and the fire pit area which appeared to be new. The grill was useful for our meals at the house with extra gas cylinders in the garage. It was easy to work w the property manager and he answered emails and questions by phone quickly. The property is private and quiet. We may book again next year. It is 15 min to town but 5-7 minutes of that is getting out of the neighborhood.
Had a great stay. Beautiful house thatâs bigger than the pictures. The indoor of the house looked like it had been updated recently. It had ample kayaks and canoes, and lots of privacy. Comfortable beds, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Enjoyed the firewood that was provided to make a cozy fire. Not far from the small town of Tupper Lake for groceries or dinner out, but really feels secluded. We were impressed by how big and private Gull Pond was. Highly recommend!
Recommended for those looking for peace and quiet.
This is a really nice place for those looking for a more remote and peaceful environment. As advertised there is a lot of privacy with neighboring houses pretty much out of sight, even those across the pond. Having no motor boats was a plus for us although during a paddle around the lake (pond) we did notice one docked boat with a rather large outboard and we were glad we didn't see it out on the water. There is a nice quantity and variety of boats here. Way more than we even used. The pictures on the listing are very representative of this property and give you a good idea of what to expect. We enjoyed the views through the large windows. There was lot's of common area space for our family to spread out into smaller groups. The kitchen seemed well stocked although we didn't do much cooking. The location is good with the High Peaks, Placid, Saranac etc. a reasonable drive away. A highlight for many will be the new Adirondack rail trail. We biked on the Phase I and II sections which are about 40 minutes away. The Phase III part will be completed next year and access to that will be in Tupper Lake. Highly recommended. (I mean the rail trail but also applies to the property)
The location of the property was so beautiful and quiet we truly got to enjoy the sounds and sites of nature. The house was immaculate, comfortable, and had everything we needed. I wish we could stay longer and enjoy those beautiful windows.
We had a very cold but enjoyable time staying at your house. A bit chilly when we arrived but warmed up fast with both woodstoves blazing. -27° outside - 74°indoors
Nice and cozy ! Very clean and well done with everything a person could need. We can only imagine how beautiful the property must be in the summer. Hoping to return !
We came as a family of tenâŠ.all ages, everyone was happy and pleased at the end of our stay⊠wifi a definite plus for those who canât leave home without their devices. The home is spacious enough that everyone was able to find an area for me-time! Definitely a do over!
My family and I enjoyed every moment of our time here. If you're seeking peace, quiet and remoteness this is the place for you! I'm already looking for an available spot on my calendar to return.
This property is 100% worth the trip up north to the Adirondacks. The house pairs a perfect balance of modern design and amenities with Adirondacks charm. We spent our days kayaking, paddle boarding or just sitting on the doc taking in the spectacular views. The âgull pondâ, as its called on the map, is almost 1.5 miles wide with spectacular views situated between multiple mountains. Additionally, the way the lake is populated, each house sits back from the waters edge, which gives you the feel of having the lake to yourself. The house is very well stocked with anything you could ever need to cook up a 5-star meal. Given the opportunity, we would definitely come back to this amazing lake house.
The place was exactly as described+more. Well designed, decorated, clean and spacious! Very private and well cared for. The kitchen was well equipped, lots of cookware! Having access to the canoe and kayak was amazing. Canât wait to come back!
