5 Stars - if you don't mind the smell of smoke

This property has a lot going for it - but in spite of that, we won't be back. The condo is spacious, well furnished and decorated, has a terrific amount of cooking/kitchen supplies, and is in an amazing location. The beds were surprisingly comfortable too. The staff (Nathan) at check-in was terrific and went above and beyond for us. But we were entirely displeased with the fact that this "no-smoking" unit was clearly once inhabited by a heavy or long-term smoker. The smell of it hit us as soon as the door was opened. No amount of Febreeze or candles (thank you for trying Nathan) helped for more than a few minutes. As a family with allergies to smoke, this caused both of our children to be especially afflicted. After the first night our younger daughter was crying that her throat was burning and that she got dizzy when she sat up. Within a few minutes of being back outside (we left to get breakfast) she was feeling fine again. This repeated each night of our stay. Our older daughter began being affected by the second of our three night stay. I believe that the furnishings (couch, carpet, draperies) need to be replaced, or professionally steam-cleaned to begin to address these issues. It's bad. The other problem, which piggy-backs the first, is that none of the windows have screens. So while we left the windows open to get as much fresh air as possible, that also meant we had flying insects. If these are not issues for you - you will love this place. It really is (other than those issues) a gem.

Great Location in Vail Village

Had an amazing long weekend with my wife and another couple! We cooked/grilled a lot and the kitchen was well suited for us. There was even enough room for all 4 of us to work mornings. The proximity to the lifts was amazing. Helpful hint, skip the gondola lines and head over to Riva Bahn Express!

Beautiful fall colors in vail

Location was perfect! Extremely well stocked kitchen. Fridge had given out just before our arrival and the staff did a great job of getting a replacement and providing ice and a cooler for anything we had upon arrival. Staff was very prompt in responding to any needs. The only feedback is it gets rented out in parts therefore the bedrooms are keyed separately. We had a very close call not knowing this with our 2 month old almost getting locked in a bedroom in the middle of the night when the wind blew the door shut and my husband couldn’t get back in. Thankfully I was in there with her. Management apologized and brought the other key over right away the next morning. Overall a fabulous stay and a few bumps that were handled immediately.

Clean apartment, walkable to everything, enjoyable stay

We had a fantastic stay during a few hot summer days in July/August. The property manager was very responsive, both in the days leading up to our stay, and after we checked in. The apartment is away from the center of the village (which is great for noise levels) but just a few minutes walk to everything, and just a two minute walk to the gondola. The apartment was clean and the housekeeping services were great. Only thing is I wish it had been specified that there is no AC in the apartment - as I mentioned it was hot!! Which led to a couple of uncomfortable nights. On the other hand, having a pool just steps away was awesome for cooling down. Overall, would highly recommend.

Superb family getaway

We took 5 grandchildren to Vail for the weekend. This Valhalla condo was an excellent in Vail Village location. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. The children enjoyed the easy access to the pool and we loved the proximity to Ford Amphitheater and the park. The only minor co cern is that we required an extra bed for the fifth child as we stated in our reservation and this was not readily available when we checked in but the staff were able to track down a twin mattress to fit our needs. We would rent this space again!

Perfect Steadman Clinic Recovery Spot

My college lacrosse player needed ACL surgery at the Steadman Clinic and his doctor moved from Denver to Vail and despite my anxiety about not being able to care for him at home, this place was stellar. There were zero stairs for him to navigate after the outpatient surgery because of the elevator and our close parking spot. We were .6 miles from Vail Health and the clinic but mere steps away from the outstanding pedestrian area of Vail Village. We were able to walk to get takeout from Up the Creek and enjoyed a wonderful pre-surgical meal at Mountain Standard. There was a beautiful spring snow storm that caused us to stay an additional night that was unplanned and they were great with that. We were only missing kitchen towels and those were delivered cheerfully. My daughter and I enjoyed some respite time at the reciprocal Vail Athletic Club. Villa Vallhalla by the Christiana will be fondly remembered. Great family time despite the medical issues!

Location Location Location!

Title says it all! In the village, but just far enough off bridge street to be peaceful on those busy nights! Unit was stocked for cooking, and entertaining with all the utentensils you could need or want! Beds and pillows were a bit soft for our liking but really that was it. I would totally stay here again!

Weekend Getway

We all agreed that the condo is situated in the best location for walking to restaurants,bars and shopping. The condo is spacious and has a full kitchen. The bed are firm but comfortable. There is a nice balcony with table chairs and BBQ. There is no hot tub. However,there is a pool that you can use next door that is kept at 90F. Another nice perk is a free pass to the gym/spa which is a 2 minute walk. Wonderful Yoga Class!

Nice Condo unit with a GREAT location!

Very nicely done condo unit with a great location. Located just steps from Gondola One. Interior is a little dated, but we were there to ski and not there much. Heated pool (103F) was a great feature at the end of a long ski day! We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful 4th of July weekend in Vail

Our group of 4 (2 couples) really enjoyed the condo for 5 days over the 4th of July weekend. Nicely appointed, great location - walking distance to everything. Overall great stay, we would absolutely return.

Vail Valhalla

The apartment was very conveniently located to the Gondola One in the heart of Vail, and to the restaurants. It was well-appointed, and was actually more spacious than we expected from the photos. The couch in the living room, was very comfortable for sleeping (often fold-out sofas are not). It was a pleasant surprise to have the housekeepers come everyday. The condo was part of the Christiana Hotel, so we were offered "membership" to the Vitality Centre around the corner. That was a real bonus - yoga, sauna, spa. Our only complaint is the fire alarm went off (very loudly) almost every time we had something on the stove. It was just a little smoke too. Suggest it is turned off, (probably illegal) or have a better working vent system above the hotplates. We wouldn't hesitate to book here again when we come back.
