Pros: Good price, clean, comfy as long as youâre good with ârusticâ. Bed was comfy. Fairly safe neighbourhood.Cons: couldnât open the key lock box so we were able to lock up when we werenât there. There was a car being opened and closed for a couple hours right next to the bed. Couldnât close the bathroom vent so it was very cold in there (we just kept the door closed and put a towel at the bottom of it to keep the cold air from coming in.)So if youâre not planning to shower and/or staying in the warmer months, and you bring ear plugs for the nighttime noise youâll be fine (hopefully the lockbox issue can be fixed).
Had the basics for purposes required, tidy, all hookups working. Nice to have a separate space rather than a room in a shared situation. Some minor activity at adjacent garage at unusual times, nonetheless a comfortable and pleasant stay.
The time we checked in was okay, however, we had to bring our car around the back of the home to where the trailer was to unload it but could not park it there so had to move it back onto 10th Ave for the night. A number of the windows did not open and the manager had to open them for us and provide a fan as it was very stuffy and warm. Also, the upper windows were filled with bugs and other refuse. About the time we were settling down for the night a truck was backing in beside the trailer (where we were not allowed to park) and it took a long time - the truck then left and came back awhile later to back into the spot - fumes from the truck definitely drifted into the trailer making us feel ill. Then the man driving the truck set up a tent on top of his truck, therefore, I imagine they were renting out that spot too.
Access to the property from parking on the nearby road was a little tricky. Early morning traffic noise.
Good access, close to New Westminster Quay, to Simon Fraser University, and to Hwy 1 to go to downtown Vancouver or to leave the Vancouver area.
