Hidden Gem!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Good assortment of choices for the hotel’s daily breakfast buffet. Location was very good with a few eateries and shop close to the hotel. The location is away from the busy San Marco area, but steps away from the S Toma ferry/bus stop to go between the central train station and hotel.

Great location on a canal away from the crowds. Valentina (reception) was a highlight of the stay. Very nice and helped us with our travel arrangements the following day (thank you!) We also had one of two balconies overlooking the canal!

Temperature of the rooms was ridiculously warm, could barely get any sleep. The room was at 23 degrees and it wouldn’t go down from that. Had to ask for a fan to make it a bit more tolerable . The ac was my biggest drawback and the hotel was fully book, so they could not accommodate me.

I went solo for two days. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area but walking distance to everything. The air conditioning was a godsend after long and hot days. My room was perfect size for me but is probably too small for a couple. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy but had main ingredients of a hotel breakfast. If you want a more proper Italian breakfast, I would advice to go to a local coffee shop instead.

This Hotel was one of my first choices but it was a little pricey, I then got a great deal and reserved it immediately. This was my first visit to Venice and everyone was telling me about how important it was to stay in a hotel in San Marcos, but this hotel could not have a better location. We arrived by train and caught the Vaporetto to San Tomá, then it is a short walk, less than 5 min. Then you can either ride the vaporetto to Rialto or ride A gondola for only 2€ across the Grand Canal, this Hotel is centrally located and it is very easy to go anywhere and very fast. The hotel was wonderful, the staff was mostly helpful, the room super nice and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great, with lots of options and being able to enjoy in the patio was very nice. I highly recommend this hotel.
