Lovely Hotel right on the Grand Canal. Get a room with the canal view, its worth it to get to watch the boats. Delicious breakfast in the garden each day.

Lovely stay in Venice!

We arrived at the hotel by water taxi, and were welcomed immediately at the hotel. Because we have VIP status with hotels.com, we were upgraded into a suite, received early check in, and a welcome bottle of prosecco. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff we're welcoming and helpful, the breakfast provided there was plentiful and fresh, and the little bar area was a lovely place to sit and watch the gondolas go by. Great view!

They upgraded us to a junior suite which was very large, and a chilled bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us when we arrived. The striped wallpaper is definitely not calming but I liked it because it was different and kind of quirky! The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was fairly standard. The shower pressure was not that great and there was no conditioner in the eco friendly large bottle. Housekeeping should check these things before a guest’s arrival. I asked for the conditioner to be replaced and the man who came up seemed annoyed with us when he brought up shampoo (not conditioner) and proceeded to stand all over the fresh bath mat in his work shoes. The front desk gave us good recommendations for restaurants. The hotel is on the Grand Canal, about a ten minute walk to Piazza San Marco. It is quiet and feels very safe walking in that neighbourhood. The doorman/bellhop was very helpful. Front desk staff were also helpful and pleasant. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
