The bathroom was mouldy smelling, probably from the shower curtain, maybe from the sewers not sure. The bedroom was quiet and comfortable but the entrance living room was just strange. Room 306 if I remember. The breakfast was much better than expected considering the hotel in general but I would reconsider the table placemats that frankly put you off the breakfast. The location was very good. Parking etc...good. We will not stay here again due to the esthetics of the hotel. It was not easy on the eye inside and the rooms less than what we expect at that price range.

It's a toss-up.

With Palads hotel, it is all about the room you are going to get. One of their buildings is newer and has nicer rooms. Other buildings have moldy, smelly rooms that reek of mold and old age. We stayed in all of them as we were stuck in Viborg for a week due to a family emergency.

Palads Hotel Viborg June 2024

The receptionist was very helpful; he directed us to park the motorbike in a safe area within lockable hotel grounds. Room was large, clean and well-appointed. We didn’t test the en suite sauna or whirlpool bath but the shower was good and the bed comfortable. On thisi occasion it suited us that it was a room-only booking so we could skip breakfast and get on the road.

Det var dejligt med en parkeringsplads lige hvor vi skulle bo på den modsatte side af hotellet (B var det vist vi boede i), men desværre var det ikke muligt at parkere der. Der kunne nok have været plads hvis parkeringerne var havde være i orden, men der var nogen der havde parkeret hvor det var meningen at man skal køre til næste række (formoder jeg) og nogen langt uden for en plads, så det var umuligt at komme frem og tilbage. Måske en bedre markering af pladserne og hvor det er meningen at man skal køre, vil hjælpe på det.

Et rigtig godt bud på en central overnatning i centrum af Viborg med gratis parkering, er Palads hotel som selvfølgelig er præget af at være nogle år gammelt, placeret på flere lokationer omkring gågaden og med badefaciliteter som nok ikke lever op til alles forventninger. Men det fungere da personalet er meget serviceminded og prisen er afstemt til det du får og morgenmaden er flot.
