We enjoyed our stay in this hotel specially the breakfast. Excellent staff friendly and the room is clean and big for the two of us. The location is perfect and closed to the ferry station & even to the parliament building & fisherma’s warf. Thank you Huntington Hotel.

Being right on the inner harbour in downtown Victoria is amazing. This hotel is tucked in a perfect location slightly outside the main crowds, but an easy walk into anything. Very pleasant stay.

Overall, very nice. I think there is room for improvement with the AC units, and the sign on the side of the wall outside next to room 201 rattles and bangs around when it is even mildly windy, which is annoying when sleeping in that room.

We have been using this facility for many years. Each time we went to Victoria that where we stayed. At the check in I did not think the employee was super friendly. There was a trainee in attendance. The breakfast area was changed and I did not like the way it was set up . We did not like it. The food is average now. Waffles you have to put in the toaster ? If you have mobility issues this is not the place . The first floor for the room is only accessible with 2 set of stairs. If you want to go for breakfast you will be dealing with stairs to go from the buffet area to the sitting area and you will most likely made at list 2 trips. There are very few tables near the buffet which should be reserved for people with certain forms of disabilities. I totally understand that the building if an older structure and there are limitations how they can improve. I am just forewarning people that if one of your love one is in a wheelchair, using a walker this is not the place for your stay in Victoria. The room was cleaned, the bed were ok but the pillows were horrible. Overall we were both very disappointed.

An average to less than average Hotel and experience. The hotel tried twice to force us into a room type we didn’t want. The room is nothing but 2 beds. No usable or comfortable seating in the room. The breakfast was hot and acceptable. This hotel is consistently not what they advertise to be.

Highly disappointing hotel stay

We booked a harbour view room with a balcony, but our room did not have a balcony and the window blinds were broken so we couldn’t even see outside. TV wouldn’t work on arrival so called for service. The TV got fixed but blind was left broken. With no outside space or fresh air, the room was dark and musty. The decor was very dated and nothing like in the website photos. We arrived at the hotel at 10:30 from our cruise ship to leave our luggage. We knew that check-in wasn’t until 4 pm but the front desk were hopeful our room would be available between 1-2 and would call us. We did not receive a call and went back to the hotel just before 4. Our room was still be worked on at this time. When it was ready and we checked in and saw it, we were terribly disappointed and upset. We immediately contacted the front desk and were informed there were no other rooms available. Our room in no way reflected the picture of the room we booked. Visiting the front desk for a third time and showing the staff pictures from your website, we were informed that there is only one room with a balcony in the entire hotel. We considered walking away from our reservation but no availability nearby and we were very weary frustrated travellers at this point. Staff realized our disappointment and upgraded our breakfast.

The location was great but hotel seems a bit dated in need of some refresh and redecoration. Whilst it was great that breakfast was included, it was basic quality and self service and tables did not get cleaned after the previous diner. We actually did not bother with breakfast on the second day
