Good breakfast available. The room was clean, but as it is an older hotel, and near the water, it does have that musty smell. If you are staying longer than overnight, ask for a room with a balcony. Also if you are on the first floor, be warned you have to walk up 2 sets of small stairs, and no one will offer to carry your luggage up for you, so pack light. Perfect for walking the waterfront.

Loved that they accepted dogs. However; it was not clear on the website that there was a $50 fee. At check in front counter I read it was a$50 fee and was advised it was $30 and $20 would be refunded but was not. Room was good basic but adequate. Comp breakfast was fabulous saved the search and walk in the morning. Out door parking was also available and with lighting and a gate for added security. Location was perfect with walking distance to all things downtown. Recommended for sure.

I stayed for a week at the Huntingdon in a room called the London Loft. The hotel is unique in that it’s an older property and exudes charm and class. While this is a hotel with a distinct heritage, but they’ve done a terrific job keeping the rooms renovated and up to (and above) current standards. Each staff member that I had contact with was friendly, professional and they were all focused on making the stay of their guests the best possible. The entire hotel was clean and very well maintained, including my room. My room included a full and very well-equipped kitchen, a living area and upstairs in the loft, the king size bed and a closet with a safe. My stay included a breakfast each day and while I didn’t take advantage of it, I talked with a few other guests who said it was wonderful. I enjoyed my stay very much and would strongly recommend this hotel for your stay in Victoria.

Leigh on reception was exceptional. Very pleasant and professional. He went out of his way to help us move our belongings to a different room. We were originally assigned to a room on the main floor but when we realized “stairs” were involved we asked to be moved to another floor. He graciously recovered for us items left behind when we moved.
