Needs updating

We stayed for 4 nights . When we arrived, they put us on what they call the first floor, which is actually in the basement . The room floor boards and base boards were warped and the room has a strong musty smell, that they tried to mask with a deodorizer. My kids had a hard time breathing so I asked to be moved. They did move us to another room. This one had visible mold on the ceiling, the young guy at the front desk was helpful, and spayed bleach on it, the room also had ants in the bathroom and kitchen. The next day when I spoke to management he phoned maintenance, and they already knew of this issue. I was told I would be compensated. Which they gave me 15% off a single night . Disappointed with how this was handled and will not stay here in the future.

Great location if looking for biking around Victoria. Galloping Goose Trail is adjacent to property and 20 minutes by bike to heart of city. The hotel has a pool and dimsum seafood restaurant. Rooms were spacious, clean, and updated. Full kitchenette including dishes, silverware, pans, linens, and hotpad. What more can you ask for.
