I had to move rooms the day after I arrived due to a mixup and the room that I was moved to was not clean. I notified the person on duty. Otherwise, it was decent for the price.

Very difficult to go from street to building. Pathway is poorly lit and paving stones are broken making it hard to haul luggage. Entryway smelled awful.

Beautiful old building. Very nicely kept with a magnificent view of craigdorroch castle. Quiet neighbourhood with a special feel of stately charm owing to the large old homes and well kept properties. If you like a castle tour and old architecture this is for you.

The Guesthouse is in a lovely old neighbourhood about a 20 minute walk from the Inner Harbour. Craigdarroch Castle is next door and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is close by. The decor is traditional and you can pay $10 for a traditional egg and bacon breakfast with a warm croissant and jam. There is also a guests' kitchen where you refrigerate or store food.

This is a wonderful guesthouse right by Craigdarroch Castle and a 30 minute walk downtown (or take the bus). As long as you don’t mind carrying your luggage up many stairs. The guest kitchen & use of laundry an added plus.
