Not really at all like the photos. I was in Chicago from Canada for a large conference. I had reserved a non-smoking room and was given a room that smelled like there had been a party in it 10 minutes before I entered.
The smoke smell was so bad it got into all my clothing in my bags. They were full, so there was nothing they could do. The walls were covered in dirt, splash marks and dried spit. I asked for it to be cleaned the next day. They set off an odor control fogger and made the bed. That night I saw a friendly cockroach run across the floor. Not the best sleep that night. Next night when I got in at 2am I saw 2 cockroaches on the the floor and one in the bathtub. I didn't want to walk back down to the front desk again, so I took video and photos to show them in the morning. I then found other peoples hair in my bed... More photos taken. At this point I should have just left but I was exhausted. I have a high tolerance clearly. In the morning I went down to show the staff the videos and pictured. She said I'll tell the manager. I asked for at least a refund on 1 night. I was told I should have come down at 2am to complain, because now there is nothing they can due, It's policy she said and pointed at a wall of papers. I treated her with respect and was given pretty much zero back on this matter. It's in a nice area, but unfortunately my experience was one of the worst I've ever had. Hopefully I didn't bring bed bugs home...Maybe just room 200 is this bad.
