The house is in a great location. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. However, there was a strong unpleasant odor in the downstairs area of the house. We had to keep the windows open our entire stay. The property manager was very responsive and offered to send someone out to check on the smell and try to resolve the problem.

Lovely property

Very comfortable and clean. Gave my two daughters and their friend and me space for privacy and also space to be together (having a meal, watch a show on TV, etc.). Right in the center of things at VB. LOVED it -- all of us left saying we need to come back during the summer!

Great Place

We had a great time. The house is centrally located to our venue and the boardwalk. The house was great, it had a lot of things to do. The spaces in the house were warm and friendly. It is perfect for families. We really like how close it is to the grocery store.

Great property for family vacation

Overall we had a great 1 week stay. The house is spacious for my family and friend’s family. Kids had their own room. My family occupied the top and my friend’s family occupied the first level. Location is only few blocks walk to the boardwalk, although we’d like to go to Shore drive beach. Grocery store is walkable from the house. My only concern were, the front door lock is hard to lock. We have to try many times before it locked out. The kitchen fridge has some dog hairs, I have to wipe it again. 1 hair dryer is broken. I was also surprised by the many add ons, the owner could attract more renters to this house, I did not know that there is washer/dryer. Upper and lower fridges. Beds are very comfy plus bed sheets and towels, although I brought towels and blankets. Thank you Frank for letting us stay in your house. Definitely I will rent this again.

Nice Vacation !

The house was clean and comfortable. It has 2 lovely porches that were great for sitting on for morning coffee or after dinner drinks. There was a gas grill that was fully functioning. The location was great. We really had a nice time.

VA beach house

The best thing about the house is the two different floors with separate living room and kitchen. It is close to beach boardwalk. Upstairs did not have a microwave and no dishes in the kitchen. The supplies such as tp and pt were minimal for the stay. There were cockroaches and house needs to be fumigated. Maybe this is normal for VA Beach???? Otherwise house was fine and served our purpose for the 7 of us.

Fumigate house

on several occasions we saw cockroaches, not water bugs but cockroaches. Outside of that, the place was really clean. I suggest getting the house fumigated or a bug terminator. thanks

Home away from home

My family and I loved the property. It was very close to everything - the beach, the grocery story, gas stations and convenient stores. Frank, the owner is very responsive to all my emails. Looking forward to spending another trip in this house. Truly a home away from home.

Great Location - 2 Blocks From The Beach

Everything was great for a family of 8. Frank was very quick to respond to questions and his sister who managed the property was around to help out with things like trash cans. Only detractor was the door hardware on the bathrooms and front need to be updated or repaired as getting in/out was sometimes an issue. Otherwise this was a great house in a perfect location to walk to the beach

Family Vacation

Got the family together for Easter and VA Beach was a central spot for everyone. Cool, charming house and great location - very close to everything. The front porch was great along with the balcony upstairs - my cranky sister sat up there so good thing she had her very own space. đŸ€ŠđŸ»â€â™€ïž A few changes/updates and I would definitely give it 5 stars. It would have been nice if the ice maker/water dispenser in refrigerator worked along with the downstairs microwave. Extra towels would also be nice plus bedding provided for the queen pull out upstairs - good thing I came prepared! Overall, great time had by all. Plenty of parking in driveway for three cars, well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds, and a quiet neighborhood. Frank addressed issues right away and is local so you can be confident he will take care of things. I would definitely rent from Frank again and you should as well!

Amazing stay walking distance to beach

We spent the weekend (8 adults) at this amazing house for the weekend for a wedding at the Hilton. It was the perfect spot within walking distance to so much while being quietly tucked away in a lovely neighborhood. Everything we needed was there including a fantastic back patio and two covered porches (one on each level). More than ample space for everyone plus two kitchens, two dining rooms, two living rooms, and laundry. Cable options were very limited so if you're hoping to kick back and watch ESPN, you'll need to find a nearby bar. Wifi worked well with multiple devices. Mattresses were very comfortable. One of the two microwaves didn't work, but since there were two kitchens, that wasn't an issue. The whole place was spotless and the owner was very kind and helpful when we had questions or requests. Before we left, we all said this would definitely be the spot for future vacations. It was FAR cheaper per bedroom than any hotel nearby.

Everything was just right. The house is spacious and well appointed, clean and attractive. The street is quiet, a grocery store is a couple blocks away and the beach is just a few blocks away.

Perfect for family visit.

It was great having a separate living / kitchen area and bedrooms upstairs, that way those that wanted to get an early night sleep were not bothered by those that did not. The whole house was very clean and neat with comfy beds. Close to beach/boardwalk and felt safe walking back and forth to the house. Plenty of towels, and kitchen supplies. Be sure to bring your own salt & pepper tho . . .

Great vacation spot!

The property was just like the pictures. The house was charming with simple but comfortable furnishings. There are no washcloths provided although all other linens are. We did have an issue with the air conditioning, but Frank was very responsive to this and had the issue fixed very quickly. Overall a great location just a couple blocks from the beach! Would recommend this house to anyone.

Great for a group

We had a total of 10 people stay in this property including grandparents, children and their spouses, grandchildren, my sister-in-law and a friend. Beds were very comfortable, including the upstairs convertible sofa. The two floors have separate heat pumps for individual comfort. The downstairs one had trouble maintaining a temperature on a hot day, but a potential problem with it was brought to Frank's attention and it should be fixed by now. Towels were supplied, but bring washcloths. There is a nice new LP grill in the back yard for outdoor cooking as well as a deck with table and 4 chairs. Technically it has 3 full baths. The one off the upstairs "master bedroom" is a closet sink, shower stall and commode. The others are tub with nice showers - one upstairs, one downstairs. Only 3 blocks from the beach, it's a great location. We enjoyed the stay thoroughly. Frank is very pleasant and responsive to guests' needs. There is a grocery store 4 blocks away. Very convenient. We were able to park 3 vehicles -2 minivans and a truck off the street.
