Terrible check in service

Check in was @ 4pm. Lobby was FULL of people waiting to check in. it was so packed lines were everywhere and hot. Everyone was complaining of the wait. It took 45 minutes to reach the desk only to be told they were behind on cleaning rooms and our room wasn’t ready yet. Waited another 40 minutes before our room was even ready. The ac unit barely worked. The room was hot. Will not stay here again.

Front desk staff was wondering upon arrival but poor cleanliness. Dirty towels and rubber gloves laid in the hallway for multiple days. Trash in stairwell, front cover from ice machine was broken and it looked to have mold growing. Card reader broken.

The property advertised for breakfast both online and in there in room pamphlet. Was told they don't actually offer free breakfast my staff. There was what appeared to be cigarette ashes in the soap dish in my shower. Most of the ice machines were not working properly. I have to say to do a great job getting a sand out of the rooms. I felt very safe on the property.

Great location right on the beach

Everything was fine and the location is super convenient - easy walk to a Starbucks, a 7-11, a Harris Teeter, pizza take-out, of course right on the beach. My kids were bummed that the restaurant had changed to a Mexican restaurant, which we adults loved but the kids wanted their usual pancakes and waffles for breakfast. We found a waffle place just a block or two away. I actually liked that they don't do housekeeping every day, unless you ask. I've never liked people coming in my room and messing with my towels and bedding. It's better for the environment to just use the same ones anyway. For some reason our room did not have any bath towels and we had to ask for them, but they brought them right up. Other than that everything was fine.
