Location location! If you are a fan of Waco/ Magnolia this place you want to stay. Everything is quick 10 min. Walk downtown. The house is just outside of downtown and while an older home is very quaint cozy and fun. We did a weekend of five ladies. The beds were a dream to sleep in and the Cozy Furniture downstairs was fantastic for sipping wine and catching up. Highly recommend.
We were disappointed that there was no pickleball court, just a net, so we couldn't really play. The silverware drawer was broken when we got there, so we had to leave it on the countertop to get to it.The neighborhood was pretty sketchy so we were a little leary.Very cool house, though!
For the price point, this is the worst vrbo I've stayed at. All of the others I've stayed at I thought did a very good job of accurately portraying the property in the listing. The pictures here look waaay better than the actual house. It is an old house and is being poorly maintained. The rental instructions discuss alarm instructions but there is no alarm or we never found one. Only 1 key for a house that sleeps 12. Lots of roaches & bugs. A/c thermostat was locked or couldn't be controlled. Broken glass around the fire pit outside and other debis made it unsafe for kids and our dog. Upstairs MBR shower door didn't close and water temp couldn't be controlled - either too hot or too cold and very low pressure. Railing on stairs is very unstable - challenging for our grandparents. Only 2 towels provide in the bathroom for a 3 nights stay. One towel was wet when we checked in which is completely unacceptable and shows the place wasn't cleaned well. Vent on floor in kitchen is open and exposed the floor below. Other doors wouldn't close.Chandeliers had parts disconnected and dangling. Porch chairs were old and weathered. Ice maker not working. Cheap and small microwave for this size house and price. For 1,000/night I expect a lot better. I certainly felt duped based on the listing vs what we got.
Close to convention center easy to travel back and forth multiple times a day. Plenty of space for 3 families to stay together. Great gathering spaces as well! Highly recommend
It was great. Dining room table was not what was expected. Neighborhood was not greatest but very close to silos for our staff breaks. It definitely worked for our needs. House was old but we love historic homes. And the host was very responsive.
This was our second year staying for our family Christmas! Itâs such a great space for a group to visit, play games and enjoy each others company. There was plenty of space for us to spread out as well.
The property was clean, wonderfully laid out and appointed, and the owners were incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with. The house itself is fantastic.
Great space, sketchy neighborhood, short on amenities
We paid quite a premium price for a 2 night stay for Baylor's Homecoming. The home and space is great. However, common amenities such as coffee pods for the Keurig, bath/shower soap, shampoo and conditioner were not provided. Roosters crow around 3 am and neighbors had a loud party that the police had to brezk up around midnight.that yh
The home is lovely and has great bed bath linens in all rooms. The kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of outdoor games provided to use in the large backyard which was great for my kids!
We even found some toddler toys in a closet.
We were only disappointed the photos showed a back yard play set which turned out to no longer be there. Otherwise
Rented it for the out-of-town volunteer staff of the 2025 Waco Indie Film Festival. It is a nice house and super close to the Hippodrome and Downtown for our needs. Would stay there again!
Family gathering/ bucket list for our sister in law
We had a great stay at the house. The beds are all comfortable and the rooms were spacious enough to play games in. We are here for our sister in lawâs bucket list to see Chip and Joanna Gaines, and experience Magnolia Market.
We had a problem with the plumbing and the owner promptly provided a plumber, and solved the problem. We also experienced fluctuating Spring temperatures and we were able to adjust the HVAC system with the owner remotely. She is extremely courteous and easy to work with.
We will stay there again when we hope to return to Waco again for another amazing family trip.
