Everything you want and some for a lake house!

This Property was amazing to say the least. April was so nice And helpful. She even sent me several links to restaurants and stores in the area of her property And gave me some tips to avoid traffic coming in. She text me several times throughout her stay to make sure we was having a good time if we needed anything. Her house was stocked up with anything you could think of needing at the lake plus some. I was very impressed with how furnished the house was. And it was very decorative and had that cozy home feel to it. Would definitely recommend staying at this property if you go to Lake Arrowhead.

Quiet, Relaxing, Beautifully Decorated

This property was extremely clean and well equipped with all we needed and more. April, our host, was very communicative and ready to jump in and help if we needed anything. But we didn’t need anything, because it was all already there, taken care of, or described to us in detail. We had four adults and were very comfortable hanging out playing board games, enjoying the jacuzzi, hiking trails on the property, and walking the neighborhood spying lots of deer and chipmunks. Two short trips, a little over an hour, to Atlanta to visit Zoo Atlanta and the Aquarium rounded out this visit. Would definitely recommend this property, and will likely rent ourselves again in the future. Allen & Kara

April will spoil you!

We were in the area for tournaments at Lakepoint Sports Complex. We only play one game a day, so we were looking for somewhere we could relax during our down time. The Shady 180 was perfect! We didn’t take advantage of all the amenities that are available in the neighborhood. We just enjoyed relaxing at the house. The hot tub was perfect for our son who was pitching. The swings on the porch were nice to sit in and enjoy the view. April has thought of everything you might need and really cares about your comfort! There were storms in the area while we were there and we lost power for a short time due to a fallen tree. April called as soon as she found out we were without power and wanted to make sure we were ok and still comfortable. She is a very thoughtful host!! The internet worked very well and we were able to stream on the tv without any issues! Which isn’t always the case in mountainous regions! The house was very clean, the beds were nice and comfy, the kitchen was well stocked, there were even dog bowls provided for your pet. We loved our stay!!

Wonderful mountain retreat!!

We stayed at The Shady 180 while traveling from Florida back home to Michigan. Spent a couple nights there visiting the beautiful Lake Arrowhead area. As wonderful as the lake area was it was made even better by our stay at "The 180" as we affectionately called it! This is a very well appointed mountain cottage with everything you could possibly need! It is spotlessly clean, well laid out, adorably decorated and has beautiful views of Lake Arrowhead..... from both sides of the cottage! Not to mention the dogwoods were in full bloom and just gorgeous! April is a total delight to work with making us feel very comfortable with her attention to every question and detail! Check in is easy as it is all electronic. The king bed is super comfy and the bedding and linens luxurious.... I'm sure the queen is as well (although we did not use it). And the cherry on it all was the glorious hot tub with views of the lake. Trust me..... this is THE mountain retreat YOU have been looking for!

The perfect house for a weekend on the lake

I can't say enough positive things about this amazing little rental. It is small- but MIGHTY. Every attention to detail has been poured into this home- to ensure that the experience is perfect. The comforts, the amenities, the cleanliness and the hospitality offered by the host (from afar) was best in class. The views of the lake are on both sides of the home as it sits on a peninsula along the lake. The neighborhood was quiet and calm- and provided a perfectly serene atmosphere. The kitchen was outfitted with everything one would need and home was perfectly appointed for comfort. I'm looking forward to staying here again.

Thanksgiving at the Lakehouse

Had a fantastic time at Shady 180. The little house is well maintained, cleaned, and well stocked. Lake views from both front and back. April is a joy to deal with. She has the house beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need except food and drink (although she did leave snacks for both humans and dogs). We had a wonderful visit and will be back.

Beautiful lake getaway

April was amazing start to finish. She reached out and was so helpful and accommodating even purchasing pickleball equipment so we didn’t have to lug our own. Lovely views and every imaginable thing you need in the kitchen. Great big comfy bed!! I would live there if I could! Definitely will be back and highly recommend her place.

Lovely getaway

April is probably the best host we've ever had at a rental property. She is resourceful, gracious, and conscientious about her guests' needs. We were hoping for a quick getaway without much fuss and she went above and beyond in stocking up the house with supplies and things to do for our whole family. Whatever you need (and more), you'll find there. While we were at the lake house, we borrowed April's kayaks, went swimming in the lake and the nearby pools, and took several walks in the neighborhood. Be prepared for deer sightings... they're everywhere!! The Bean and Biscuit is a cute local place to grab lunch. April has some contacts for an at home massage if interested too. I spent the early mornings peacefully drinking my tea on the back porch watching the deer and birds. April also supplies everything you need to make s'mores. The best!!!

Absolutely lovely

My friend and I met here for a quick weekend getaway. The place is super clean and very comfy and cute with a great front porch and beautiful view of the lake. I was so grateful to be able to bring my dog with us; April had bowls and toys available which my pup just loved. This is a lovely quaint community and a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. I will absolutely be back in the future!

Nothing "shady" about the "Shady 180"

Our stay was fabulous! Everything is exactly as it is portrayed in the ad. April has literally thought of everything you could need and want for your stay. The special touches made you feel right at home. From the relaxing porch, stocked kitchen to the way she makes your furry kids feel welcome too with bedding and toys for them. My hushand and son took advantage of the kayaks to do a little fishing while I enjoyed the peacfulness of the porch swing. Booking was easy and the owner was prompt to answer any questions. If i end up back in this area again, I will 100% book "The Shady 180 " again. Even our teenage son was more than pleased with the stay and if you have teens, you totally understand how that is a win!

A great escape!

This property was by far the most thoughtful vrbo experience I’ve had. The owner thought of everything you might need and went above and beyond with the cutest details and extras of everything you might need or may have forgotten. I traveled solo and felt very safe there, got a lot of work done for my job and spent time each day hiking the amazing trails around the area. I would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful lake view and wooded location

We absolutely loved staying here! Wish the weather was better and we had more time! The cabin was perfect for four, very clean, nicely decorated, with everything you could need PLUS small touches like dog bowels and bedding and unopened treats, thick robes, slippers, lots of towels and fantastic kitchen ware and appliances! Will tell everyone to use this place if in the neighborhood for rest and relaxation.

I usually don't write reviews but everything was as advertised. Perfect spot for a weekend getaway to re-charge the mind. It was spotless, clean and very well appointed. Excellent!

April was one of the BEST hosts we have stayed with! She was so friendly and helpful! We had such a great time we didn’t want to leave. The space was beautifully decorated and renovated. One of the cleanest properties we have stayed at! The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay. The view of the lake is amazing as well! We cannot wait to go back!! We highly recommend!
