This place is wonderful for two people if you want to stay inside or be gone the whole time. You can no longer enjoy the front porch or sitting area outside because someone has built an ugly white and gray house 50 yards away .The cut all of the trees around this cabin down to make way for this to happen .
We absolutely loved this cabin. It had everything we needed â even things we forgot. The fireplace was ready with firewood already set up, which was such a nice touch. I forgot to bring coffee, and my husband quickly pointed out they had that covered too!The only thing we didnât get to use was the outdoor hot tub because it was just too cold for us, but everything else was perfect. The cabin was very well kept, and we fell in love with the rustic feel the moment we walked in. We will definitely be back!
The jacuzzi was not in a private area. It was difficult to enjoy it when anyone could have seen us in the Jacuzzi. We were not aware that the home next-door was under construction so each day included hammering, sawing, and other construction noises. Not a peaceful week as we hoped.
Cozy, warm, pet friendly - location is remote, but convenient to Callaway Gardens... Good restaurants in the village. Local Grocery store choices were disappointing. Definitely plan ahead.
Very good location. Close enough to get what we need but far enough away you feel as though you are on vacation. Nice accomodations. Very clean and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend to those seeking a place to get away close to Warm Springs/Pine Mountain.
While we absolutely loved our stay at the cabin we had a few discrepancies. When we walked in it was beautiful, but the thermostat was set on 72 the actual reading was 78. We had to call the emergency maintenance guy the next day after having our outing at Calloway Gardens for them to come out and fix the AC as it was 82 degrees in the cabin. I brought my family back to the cabin to have a relaxing rest of the evening, but that wasnât the case it was hot! Secondly the ice maker stopped working. We had to buy our own ice to supply in the freezer. Lastly, and most importantly there was a neighborhood child that would continuously come to the cabin. He would make us feel bad because he said that they had no food at their home so he would ask my children to have lunch with him. He would also constantly come to the cabin, all during out the day, so there was no peace. Iâm not against someone elseâs children but we came here to have a peaceful family vacation with just family. We would tell the child to go home and he would not listen. He would be there every hour on the hour all day. He lived just across the street so he would see our children outside playing and he would come over. I didnât mind my children playing with him, but when I told my children, it was time to come inside to eat or shower he would sit on the porch until they came back out. It got very annoying. He also asked for the WiFi password and begged to come into the cabin. No parents in sight the whole time. 9 YO
Mountain Getaway is a cozy cabin tucked away in the woods. There are a couple of places outside to sit - the front porch swing is awesome. We didn't sit on the back porch as it kind of looks over the cabin next door. Plenty of space inside for two people and the dog. We loved the fireplace! And the furnishings were comfortable. Great getaway!
We had a fabulous time. The kitchen was well stocked. Sitting in front of the fire and relaxing was exactly what we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the front and back porches. Great cabin.thourou
The cabin was quiet, clean and cute. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. We all enjoyed the cabin. Great location to anything you would want to go do.
My family loved our stay at this cabin! It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. We had a fire in the fireplace every night and grilled steaks on the grill one night. Everything we wanted to do was only 5 to 10 minutes away. I would definitely stay again!
We had so much fun staying at the cabin. My parents camped nearby in the state park. So much to do in the area and perfect weather to relax on the porches.
Itâs rather remote (plenty of other cabins/homes in the area but nothing else) and that was perfect for us! We loved this little place! Internet was enough to do the planning we needed for our day trips and stream a few movies on the tv. The jacuzzi tub was a nice touch too. Wish we had more time to utilize the fireplace and/or fire pit outside! If you want a remote and relaxing getaway in the middle of pine mountain (lots of great hiking only minutes away) the is the place!
