This was a first time Iâve stayed in a lodge and it was pretty cool! Felt extremely homey and the staff was so nice. Donât even have to go to the lobby to check in, they text you how to get into your room. Rooms are very woodsy inside and the back area is walkable with fire pits on a river bank. The lobby was sweet and works on an honor system for purchasing things. If you need help, someone will come out to the desk
The location was a great hub for exploring the beauty of the Green Mountains, enjoying scenic Vermont highway 100 with its picturesque towns and covered bridges, driving through the mountain gaps, or hiking the many trails. The lodge is in a lovely and peaceful setting. Our unit was very clean and well arranged. A note if you have back issues: rising from the low bed or sitting very long in the rustic chairs was uncomfortable for a person with back issues, but the mattress wasn't a problem.
