The the property was very run down needs to be renovated it was in a bad part of DC and we didn't feel particularly safe

It wasn't great. But there weren't any bed bugs, so that was good. I've stayed in worse places. At least we weren't murdered and no-one broke into our car.

The hotel was beautiful and well-maintained, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. However, upon arrival, we encountered an unexpected $700 charge on our card despite having already paid in full. A few days into our stay, we were charged an additional $300 with no explanation. When we inquired at the front desk, they were unable to provide any information. Another traveler in our group also faced an unexplained charge of over $300. While we were assured that these charges would eventually be reversed—and most of them were—the experience caused unnecessary stress and put a damper on our trip. The manager, however, was incredibly helpful throughout the ordeal and truly salvaged our stay.

All in all it was a nice hotel with fairly friendly staff, there is no shuttle service as is advertised on their website. Fair walk to downtown, which is fine, I wanted to see everything I could, including the surrounding areas. The area looked a little run down and could be perceived as unsafe, but I had no problems with anyone, everyone I talked to was quite nice. All in all it was a nice trip, but due to the amount of walking, I never did make it down for the breakfast. Would stay here again.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a complementary continental breakfast with a variety of options. The hotel itself is nice, but you can tell it is older and needs updating. The owner, or company, has patched things instead of replacing with new. It was quiet at night, except for the garbage man who came at 4:45 am to empty the dumpster one morning. The hot water heaters kept going out, and the general manager kept calling for service and maintenance. She was accommodating so that we could take hot showers. The hotel is located about 3.5-4 miles outside of downtown DC, so we had to take a Lift or Uber, there is no shuttle. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. All the issues were things the staff had no control over and did the best they could to keep us happy. The surrounding neighborhood wasn't the nicest, but I felt safe enough to stay for the whole week. It was a good hotel for being on a budget.

Where to start? I got into Dc early so we walked around for hours checking out a museum and trying to see the sights. When I got there at 3 hoping for an early check in (at 3 pm) I was told they couldn’t see my reservation. Through a long chat message and 3 calls to the staff it was resolved but I woke up to the hotel trying to charge my card for what was a prepaid stay. There was another chat and another call to the hotel and it was again resolved. It was frustrating but things happen and in the end customer service on both ends resolved the situation. I was inconvenienced and no one wants that but…. Thanks to the hotel staff Wanda and Angela who were calming presences in my momentary crisis’.

I had the worst experience ever. When I got to the hotel I had to pay 100 dollars deposit plus 70 dollars for parking, the deposit is normal in some places but the parking not, but any way this wasn't the bad part. The bad experience was when they charge me 1700 instead the 170. I spent 3 days to figured out this. Front desk was telling me that they were charging me for the whole package that I already pay for.

My stay at the hotel was good. In my opinion it was a good central location to my event. Greeted warmly at check in, process was smooth and clearly explained. Room was clean bed was really comfortable. TV had no signal on most channels and not a good selection. Coffee in the room was superb. Amenities were there. Water was not hot enough but eventually they did everything they could and checked on us periodically. I really appreciated this convenient accommodation hard working staff breakfast was also good. Noises of the doors closing were a nuisance but we dealt with it. I would stay again. Heat and air worked fine no bad odors no noisy guests very peaceful stay!

My daughter and I had a great time at the Hotel. We were told by our Uber driver to not explore the area after dark, saying this was not a great part of town. That said, the staff was helpful and friendly! Michelle and Wanda made us feel right at home, and the accommodations were very nice. The hotel itself was clean, well-decorated, and the beds were super comfy - which is great after 10-12-hour days of exploring the Capital and surrounding states!

I felt like our stay was a major inconvenience to the front desk lady. We booked on Expedia, I had our confirmation number and everything but she kept telling me we didn’t have reservations. Then once we were found she had issues putting us into the system which isn’t her fault. She ended up just adding our stay in herself on their system since it didn’t transfer. Added an extra $83 to our stay for parking and idk what. Even charged us parking for the day we were leaving. I didn’t say anything. We let it go. We decided to leave a day early because of a family issue we needed to get to. I asked for a receipt for our stay or email it to me. Told her we were leaving a day early. I don’t even ask her for any sort of proration. She wouldn’t get up from her office desk chair. Told me to leave the room keys and she will check us out later on. That she can’t give us a receipt bc we booked online. Umm..we paid there, you booked us since you said Expedia wasn’t transferring into your system. We paid more than what we were quoted online and yet you can’t give me a receipt? Needless to say, I never got one since she never got off her office chair. She just kept leaving on her desk and told me to get Expedia to give me one. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
