Terrible experience

Terrible experience from the moment we checked in. The front desk receptionist was rude. Our room was next to the service elevator which kept us up all night. We asked to be moved and were told it couldn’t be accomplished because we had booked through a 3rd party. The rooms are cleaned every 4 days-disgusting!

My wife and I stayed at the Churchill Hotel for 5 days. During the 5 day days our room was not cleaned or restocked with clean towels, soap, water, coffee, toilet paper, toiletries and the garbage wasn't even taken out. I had to ask the front desk for clean towels. The conditioner bottle in the shower was broken and every morning I asked the front desk to have it replaced, finally on the 5th day it was replaced. The staff in the restaurant were not friendly nor were they very helpful.The location of the hotel is great, but for the price we paid to stay there and the location, the service should have been at a higher standard. From the first impression of booking in too booking out, this was not a good experience staying here. I wish that I had if read the reviews on this hotel before I booked it. They do jot have good reviews. With this being said, I do not recommend staying here at all. There is a Hilton right across the street and you would probably have better luck staying there instead.

The rooms were huge and well appointed. The beds were quite firm- depends on your tastes. The temperature was frustrating, either its heat or a/c for the whole building. I asked to change to a room with a window that opened. It had a fridge, a coffee maker and a nice bathroom. The area doesn’t have a lot of food choices, but it was walkable to my conference. Felt safe.

Hotel lies about ridiculous fees.

Overall the hotel was average but the communication and services were two star standards. We asked for room services for three days and we never had anyone come to the room, so we were forced to recycle towels and throw out our small waste baskets ourselves. The desk clerk failed to check us in properly and charged an early check in fee, which was never disclosed. Additionally, I was changed a historical fee that amounted to an additional $125 which was never disclosed or discussed until after checking out. The front desk could not explain this fee or what I received as a guest because of it. I felt and was mislead continuously in order for the hotel to make money from junk fees.

The shower had some hairs, the cleanliness was not great. The nickle and diming over the types of breakfast left a really sour taste for us, given the fact that we had paid for breakfast. The so-called Continental Breakfast is ridiculous and embarrassingly limited, can't even believe I paid for that. All the actual breakfast elements were in the other option, but then they asked for 5 $ extra. Ridiculous at these high prices to do this. Very much in poor taste. It's such as shame, the rooms are so spacious and comfortable, it's a shame to lose the good impression on such petty stuff.

Beautiful property and super helpful and friendly staff. When I arrived the room had not been properly cleaned with towels left in the bathroom, dirt and trash in the bin. Staff were helpful and very apologetic but wvery day i couldnt also get the coffee machine to work. Staff were the highlight- postive. Friendly, Helpful.
