This cabin is exactly as the listing states, it's perfect and incredibly well stocked. My downfall came with the company, iTrip's handling of an actual blizzard that hit while I was there. I reached out with my concerns many times before I arrived because I couldn't cancel (policy). Power went out, heat in the home was lost very quickly because of blizzard winds and gaps around the doors, 13 degrees out, snow started to stick and storm was just beginning. We no longer felt safe, we decided to leave after one night because of real safety concerns- had to help a local with chainsaw cut and clear a massive tree that fell to the entrance/exit of the neighborhood in order to get out.
Cabin has no alternative heat source, the wood stove had wood chopped that doesn't fit inside the stove's opening-small wood stove, wood too big, no ax to cut = no heat, no backup generator. Temps dipped to -10 that night, it became an actual safety problem. iTrip will not refund or compensate only 1 night I asked for, only give "as much of a discount as possible" on a future booking and won't say what that is. I never leave these kinds of reviews, I want to return to this cabin, I just don't appreciate how this was handled in this extreme circumstance when iTrip boasts that safety and 5 star experience is their utmost concern.
