The staff was excellent and very welcoming. The main building and Restaurant/bar was in very bad shape. Our room was in the building behind and it was OK. Probably would not stay here again.

Great hotel right across from water. Bar on property. Check in staff (owners) were excellent. The rooms in adjacent building have been redone completely and washroom and tub very nice. Lots of dining options across street and on street close by.

Not recommended !!!

What an experience. When we arrived at 5pm, the person at the front desk was asleep. The entire hotel had a terrible smell and was clearly not clean, but we decided to overlook it, thinking the rooms might be better. To reach the outside rooms, we had to walk through the pub, only to get a shock once inside — we literally had to fight our way past spiders to get into the room. The room seemed decent at first, until we pulled back the bedding and found long black hairs all over the sheets, clearly from previous guests. The in-room coffee machine had no coffee, mugs, or cups. When I confronted the owner, he handed me two paper cups and said I could get coffee at the front desk. I also asked about the spiders, and he first claimed there was no one to clean, then backtracked saying “the other woman” had cleaned the room. That was the last straw — we immediately packed our bags, as there was no way we could sleep in a dirty bed surrounded by spiders. The owner refused to refund us, but thankfully Hotels.com stepped in and issued a refund. The photos will speak for themselves. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I love The Lakeview, its the perfect combo of classic bar and hotel. Food in the bar is great, bartender is awesome. The hotel owners are kind, accommodating and very helpful. I stay here every time in Wawa, its the perfect place to have a drink with some locals and fellow travelers and to pour yourself into a clean bed after the fact. As expected, the place is a bit dated but in my opinion its got great ambiance. Most importantly, its clean and well kept. The perfect spot for someone looking for an experience, and not just a bed for the night.

Reasonable price for Wawa. Room was tidy. Was exhausted at the end of a long day and a wonderful drink and a delicious meal in the bar right beside the check-in desk was most welcome. Super friendly check in!
