While a bit dated, the house was neat and clean. It was in need of some repair on the front deck where paint/stain was peeling and the stair rail going down to the basement was missing. The closet door in the front bedroom was stuck closed, though my husband was able to get it open. There was not a complete set of silverware in the kitchenâŠonly three forks. The oven is a bit wobbly and could use some leveling. There was no mention of a washer/dryer in the listing which was a bonus. Parking, frankly was a nightmare. The house is situated on a VERY narrow one-way street and we were never able to park directly in front of the house due to lack of parking and a vehicle that had apparently been there for quite a long time with four flat tires. I was advised by the owner that there was parking in the rear of the house, but to access it you had to drive up a very steep hill and down a very narrow alleyway to what was a drop off into the yard. I wouldâve been scared to park there and did not attempt it.
No complaints except for a car with four flat tires was blocking parking in front of the house for four days - still there when I left. All else was good.
My team and i stayed to reset a hardware store nearby. The house was clean and very welcoming. The owner was very attentive and proactive with needs, i.e. supplies or just basic inquiries. If/When i am in the area again, i will certainly try for another stay.
My parents and I were in Weirton for a family event. Residing in the Orchard Street property was less expensive than nearby hotels and provided us with the amenities of home. The host responded very quickly to all of our messages. When we return to Weirton, we will choose to stay here again.
