In just a few minutes you can walk to the bakery, supermarket, restaurants and cafés. The Brockenbahn train station is also easily accessible on foot. Hiking trails lead you to impressive destinations such as the Brocken and Wurmberg. Mountain bikers get their money's worth on the varied tours around Schierke. In winter, Schierke offers fantastic cross-country skiing conditions with 40 km of trails that lead up to 1,000 metres in altitude and offer both ascents and descents
