Joe was there when we arrived so Easy check in and check out! The kitchen had everything we needed, there were 6 of us staying at the cottages and we had dinner in our kitchen every night! Joe and Nick had great suggestions for sight seeing and directions on how to get there. And our daughter got engaged. One of the best stays and vacations weâve ever had - thank you
Cute and rustic.
Was very warm upstairs in the sitting room and bedroom the first night. Def not like being at home, but we managed just fine. Loved the idea of a sign in book. And the info book that was left for us explaining all the history was awesome to read.
We were travelling with some other relatives so we didn't spend a lot of time in this location. No living room here so things were a little tight. Our son slept in the TV area on a fold out couch. That made it a little tough to watch the Olympics... Overall a good clean location with an outstanding bathroom and shower.
Beautiful place. Old cottage with character bringing older times. Well equipped. Not recommended to older people who need to go to the bathroom several times at night.
This is a beautiful rustic cottage. My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. When we come back to New Brunswick, there is a high probability that this is the place we will stay. Thank you for great accommodations.
We arrived in St. Martin's to attend the annual Sea Shanty Festival so it was fitting that we were able to stay in a Shipbuilder's kitchen. The accommodations were wonderful. Everything you could possibly need was there. Beautiful big old fashioned kitchen and even had a washer and dryer. The place was immaculate. The Guide Book provided by the owner was very helpful. We were even able to check in a bit early so we didn't miss any of the festivities of the Sea Shanty Festival. The grounds around the cottage were lovely and it was a beautiful place to watch the meteor shower in the evenings. The owner was very accessible, accommodating and helpful. Definitely recommend this cottage!
Quiet .private well organized , clean . well situated.
Summer cottage attach to the bigger Shipbuilders cottage where the rest of our family stayed . We all enjoyed sharing meals and exploring the beaches , trails , caves etc, etc,
with our children and great grandchildren. 2 cottages next to another with privacy was ideal for all. B& D McCarthy
Beautifully appointed comfy and cozy home near wonderful natural sights. Cottage had everything we needed, was clean, quiet, and convenient to local sights.
We were stranded in New Brunswick because of Fiona and happened upon Joe and Nick's place. Joe was a gracious host and showed us the place before we booked it.
The property is old and unique, but has been updated with a very nice kitchen and bathroom. The bed upstairs is a bit rustic, but we managed just fine. The location is quiet with a very large yard.
They put together some maps with the local trails in the area. This was very useful and there are some beautiful views to be had in St. Martins.
Overall a pleasant three days.
Enjoyed my stay here very much - the cottage is extremely well equipped with everything needed, is very spacious yet quaint and charming, great wifi, beautiful grounds and lots of things to explore nearby.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Summer Kitchen! Joe was very helpful and lovely to deal with! Such great beaches and the town of St. Martinâs had such a great laid-back vibe.
My husband and I along with our two kids (age 15 and 12) had the pleasure of staying in the Shipbuilders Summer Kitchen cottage this past weekend. The cottage itself is well maintained is very charming. It had everything we needed and more. Check in/check out was super easy. The property owner, Joe, made sure to check in on us and he was very welcoming. In the evenings we enjoyed the firepit out front. Wood, Kindlin, papers and matches were all on site for us at no charge. It was really nice to learn about the history of the property which was available in our welcome package. Next time we travel to St. Martins we will definitely try to book this cottage again.
located in a peaceful spot, it is a very very cute smaller half of an old house. it has everything you may need to disconnect and relax. you are close to the ocean, a light house, and restaurants. i would recommend this place.
Property was exactly as advertised and was nicely equipped with appliances, dishes, towels and bedding etc As advertised it is out of town such that a car is required to go to St Martins but it is not far. Pretty area and quiet.
The cottage was extremely charming, located near so much to see and do and was very comfortable. There were so many little touches, from fresh flowers in the kitchen to interesting books and brochures about local subjects that made the stay special. We wish we could have stayed longer.
We loved our stay. It had everything we needed and we took advantage of the hidden secrets in St Matthews that are listed in the visitors guide. Would recommend to anyone looking to explore the Bay of Fundy.
If youâre looking for a place where you can walk to the Bay of Fundy, enjoy a quiet evening after a seafood dinner, watch the tides go out and come back in, then this a great choice
The summer kitchen is a true hidden gem. We arrived on a foggy evening, Joe was here to welcome us and advise you about what to do, where to go, etc. The pace was spotless, very charming and practical. Joe and Nick really did a great job renovating the place. Next morning, sunny day and then you realize how gorgeous this side of the Fundy bay is. Had a blast at the sea caves, enjoyed the charm of St Martins and the Fundy Bay Parkway. Joe and Nick are great hosts, very helpful yet discrete. I think weâll come back.
