We loved this place! Perfect if you want to be near the mountains and swim in the creek just beside the house :) the owners were really welcoming and even made cookies for us on the first day. I definitely recommend that place !
Perfect space for the two of us and our dogs. Loved the balcony for star-gazing and watching the sun rise I er the mountains. Felt very comfortable leaving the pups in their crates so we could go to non-dog friendly spaces - was nice to have the main house on the property and know their were people close by! The key pad to get in didn't set automatically for our code to get in, the hosts were very prompt and friendly fixing it for us to get in! We forgot to throw out a few food items in the fridge, reached out the the host who said it was no trouble, it would get taken care of! Was a great experience!
The guest house was perfect for my family and 2 dogs. Some kitchen supplies may need to be upgraded. Danny was great and quick in responding with a few issues we had. The property is seriously 3 minutes away. Will stay again
We were looking for a quiet place to stay while attending a family event nearby. The accommodations were very comfortable and restful. The Hosts left us alone, but weâre very responsive to any questions. Overall it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it to others.
Nothing to share but the kindest of words for Danny and his property. Gorgeous location, dog friendly and close in proximity to Jay.
We felt safe crating our dogs while we rode, and took the liberty of doing some exploration on the property while we were there.
Can definitely see us renting again (and again) if Danny lets us!
We had a great time and Danny was very communicative prior to and during our stay. It far exceeded our expectations and there was a ton of room! Nothing bad to say at all and we will definitely stay here again if we make another trip up to Jayâs Peak
We had a wonderful stay here! Danny was super communicative and answered any questions we had quickly. We stayed here for a ski trip to Jay Peak and the location was absolutely perfect. The house was extremely clean, well stocked and cozy with gorgeous views out every window. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
The property was beautiful, clean and Danny was very hospitable and an Amazing host! He saved the day helping my son and I get back on the road in a winter storm!
Beautiful location with a great yard and access to snowshoe/backcountry trails as well as easy access to Jay Peak for skiing. The owner is very attentive and friendly and a good resource for information on the area. Good size for a family. Did not have any issues with mice in the home.
Unfortunately, my family and I did not have a good experience here. There were mouse droppings in the silverware and utensils drawers (!), and colonies of Asian Lady Beetles everywhere- on the floors, walls, in the coffee pot, etc. I notified the owner the first morning we were there and he said he would come when we left to set up mouse traps and vacuum up the beetles. He admitted that they've had beetle and mouse issues with the temperatures changing there and this "happens in the woods". Later that day he said that two mice were caught in the traps. I started looking for another property to move to but because it was the start of February school vacation, there was nothing available in the area. Each morning, we saw more mouse droppings and beetles on the counters and even in our coffee mugs. The owner had said that the beetles actually bite. My kids freaked out when they heard that and none of us were comfortable there.
I am upset because the owner really shouldn't have rented this property to us in the first place. He needs to get an exterminator to fix both the mouse and beetle issue- it's a major health hazard to have mice droppings where you eat! We spent over $1,100 for 3 nights. I feel sick that I had to pay that much for these conditions.
Know your rental rights- had I known and called VRBO during our stay, they would have refunded us and relocated us.
Once these issues are rectified, Iâm sure this could be a lovely property to stay in. It's close to Jay Peak.
Our group (3 dads and 5 kids) had a great overall experience staying at Danny's guesthouse. The house itself is in a perfect location - close to the base lodges at Jay, just a few miles up the road from Montgomery Center, and right in the middle of all things outdoors (hiking, backcountry skiing, etc.). Danny is an exceptional host, making us feel more like friends instead of renters, and was very responsive to any questions or needs. And the house is clean, well kept, and warm - perfect for a place to stay after a day spent in the outdoors. We won't think twice about booking again if/when we make it back to the area!

Once these issues are rectified, Iâm sure this could be a lovely property to stay in. The location to Jay Peak is great, only a 6 minute drive.
We really enjoyed our stay! A beautiful guest house that is up to date, the views are stunning, and the host was extremely friendly.
Overall great experience!
All was great and Danny was a very responsive host. We were worried about the size, but it accommodated 6 adults and 2 kids just fine. The place is nwere, clean and well stocked. Easy access to Jay Peak and everything else in the area. Everyone left talking about the next time we could come. Thanks!
Absolutely love this property.
At first I thought it would be small from the photos but it was very comfortable for 6 ground men and myself. Beds were so comfortable!
We had epic snow (over 1ft) during the 3 days we were there for snowboarding at Jays Peak.
Danny kept the driveways clear for us, we felt welcomed, safe and in great hands!
Would definitely stay with them again in the future.
This place is a gem. Incredibly convenient to Jay Peak and tucked into the woods in a magical spot. Our family of 5 and 2 dogs stayed comfortably and would definitely return for another visit.
