Great location. Wonderful place to stay for a family. Kitchen well stocked. Short walk to village but up hill on the way back. Very clean and nice hot tub. Will definitely stay again. You have to check-in in the village.
Nice place to stay and great location close to the village. Few things to mention; parking can be difficult if you have a truck or SUV as garage is tight and there is only one visitor pass. We ended up having to pay to park vehicles at the Weston down the hill. It is also managed through a 3rd party so check in is offsite and they request a large damage deposit that does not go through VRBO and they have their own separate contract. Probably would not stay again due to this. Perfect for families and people with kids as each room is spacious and open concept main floor.
This was our second year returning this property for a 5 night skip trip in March. We've probably stayed in 8-10 different Whistler property over the years. The place was definitely expensive compared to others although if you arrive with something near the full capacity it's not a bad value (although quite a few people people will be sharing rooms). There were a few minor issues with appliances this time but the place is, generally speaking, great with a fantastic location near the slopes and we look forward to returning a third time.
The host was great with communication and answered any concerns or questions within minutes of our arrival. The place was amazing as well, the views from the bedroom windows was beautiful. The location was super close to the mountain, however it wasnât truly a ski in ski out as stated in the description when we rented the place. You can either walk your gear down the hill and then up a very large flight of stairs, then to a large hill and finally onto a run, or rent lockers at the mountain and then walk down 2km to ski, but only to have to walk back up the 2km hill.
One of the showers drain was plugged
Dishwasher didnt work properly
All pots and pans were dirty
Hot tub lid brocken
Beds were uncomfortable and poor sheets
The building was OK but for the price you would expect everyting to work and be clean I would not rent this again
I've stayed in probably about ten large (~10 guests) rentals at Whistler over the last decade. This was probably the best rental I'd stayed out, and I'd very much be interested in renting it again.
The check in/out was good. The only issue was that we paid a deposit first and then did not get any further notification or reminder of the full payment due date until we got a mildly threatening email when it was overdue. Some friendly reminders would be very nice.
The place is large and very comfortable, and it easily and comfortably fits groups of 8 skiers. There are additional beds, but things get a little tighter after that with the dinner table, the ski racks, the boot dryers, the hot tub, and so on. We had 10, though, and it was fine.
The place is not really ski-in/ski-out since there is a short walk of about 100 steps to the slope, and it's only accessible coming down from Whistler Mountain, so there will be an extra lift at the end if you are coming from Blackcomb. The walk to the village is also a bit long and uphill so a car would be good.
We are a family of 6 who love to ski and the house was great for our stay.
The ski in / out is an effort (as described) so we hired a car which was much easier. Note that an SUV is a TIGHT squeeze in the garage. Short drive to everything you need though.
Lots of space for everyone to chill and watch tv when not out and about, however limited space for clothes to be unpacked in bedrooms (eg master bedroom had hanging space with a few hangers but inadequate drawers for a couple to put away clothes for 11 days). We lived out of the suitcases which was a pain.
Great kitchen, well equipped, we cooked everyday, just need storage containers for leftovers as there was none.
The only real issue we had was with the heating. No instructions, seemed to revert back to 18 degrees often and then sometimes you would wake in the night sweating and then be freezing an hour later.
You are unable to change the heating beyond a certain temperature without a PIN and when the arctic blast came through and there were consecutive days of -20 and worse, we were cold in the house.
The space was very comfortable for our party of 8. We had a lovely time relaxing just at the house itself. The only comment I have is that there wasn't enough cutlery, and the pots and pans were not good enough to cook for eight people. We still had a lovey stay.
Location is great! 3 minute bike ride downhill to the Whistler Village. Itâs a bit of a climb on the way back after a long day of riding.
Communication with manager was prompt and easy. I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful home with more than enough beds to sleep a lot of people.
Good location near the village. Easy walk in (maybe 10-12 minutes) and good workout coming home back up the hill!
Property manager easy to communicate with.
Would stay again!
Everything was awesome. Truly. We had a blast. Only feedback I can think of is the address that was given to me for check-in was the houseâs adress which was not where the real check-in was. That was a separate address at a completely different location. Just would have been smoother if the Deer Lodge address was readily available.
Wonderful property, very clean and spacious and perfect for our group of 8. The only downside is the distance to the slopes. We read the reviews and knew that we had to walk up 100+ steps to get to the run, however, there is also a short uphill walk to get the stairs and another short uphill walk to the ski run after the stairs. All in all, if you are a skier carrying skis and poles, it will take 20 minutes and you will be sweating. The snowboarders in our group had it easier. Hot tub stayed hot and we really enjoyed it. Lots of towels to use.
