The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update it.

Lovely staff, very accommodating throughout our stay. Lovely food and accommodated 2 late guests who arrived just as kitchen was closing. Nice quiet sleep even though there was a party going on at the time. Would recommend staying and will definitely return

Quite a big place. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Evening meal was classic pub grub but really good quality and good portions. Wifi was good. Shower was good and everywhere was lovely and clean. I'd be happy to stay here anytime.

We liked everything about this hotel: the staff were friendly and welcoming; the breakfast was good; the room was spacious, clean & comfortable, and everything in it worked (toilet, shower, TV, etc.). Just over 30 mins from keswick in a quiet location,excellent hosts ,amazing food .i love thats its not a new updated place gives it more character. I didnt have a good night sleep but that was due to upstairs neighbours .that was only down side and was a shame it was only a one night stay.

Nice comfortable room with good WiFi connection. Food was excellent and served quickly. The steak pie was the best I have ever had anywhere. Top marks yo the kitchen.
