We traveled with our family of 7 and booked 3 rooms. The pros of this property are the view of the oceanview room, the proximity of the beach, the pools, the entertainment and the buffet. The cons were the mexican and sushi restaurants which we strongly do not recommend. Our luggage was delayed until the next day and the gift shop charged me $116 for a pair of shorts and beach sandals. Too expensive. The hotel staff were frankly not personable. They did their jobs but rarely with a smile and very few greeted you unless you did first. The people of Curacao are very friendly wherever you go except at the hotel. There were 3 staff members who were very good, which was Corrinda at the seafood restaurant, Michele at the coffee/bakery shop, and Steven at the front desk. If I ever go back to Curacao I will try another hotel.

The food and drinks were amazing and there was always something to do for the kids. Had some really nice activities for adults in the night as well. I think the specialty restaurants should be on a first come first serve basis instead of reservation, because alot of people reserve and dont show up and rob others the opportunity to participate, or have some of the options from the specialty restaurants in the buffet, so you won't lose out if you dont get a reservation.

The resort overall was very family friendly and nice. The food was average. Breakfast and lunch lots of variety in the main buffet. Specialty restaurants limited menu options and only average. Minibar in room needs better service . Pools , waterpark and beach area was nice also. Our room faced the pool noisy and music nightly until later hours . We would book a stay here again however with no qualms.

The Corendon was a beautiful property. Most staff were friendly and drinks were good from the bar. I only tried one al carte restaurant, the Maya Mexican, the service was bad and my appetizer was one chip and tablespoon of ceviche. The buffet food was pretty decent, lots of variety. Enjoyed the music at the main pool, played a variety for everyone to enjoy. Pools were cleaned every night
