Been to Wilmington maybe times. This time we decided to stay within walking distance of everything. I knew we would be staying at an older home--I wanted something vintage and cozy. The place looked cleaned. However, the bathroom had an awful smell. There must have been a drain issue, the shower smelled worse of all. And ALL the towels smelled wet and like mildew/musty. I tried to wash them, but the dryer didn't work. I texted Jodi for help. She called someone to come over while we were out for day and she said they couldnt smell anything. She left a bottle of drain cleaner and told me to use it if I felt we needed it. More towels were brought and those ALL smelled like cigarettes. Luckily, we brought 2 beach towels. We had to stop at the store for air freshener/ candles. I asked for compensation for all the issues we had. No one ever responded. I did end up getting a 80 credit on my credit card a week later--- but still no actual response from Jodi. The location was great. It just sucked that I wasted my time washing towels (3 times), spending money on candles/air freshener, and not having a decent shower the whole time we were there.
This property was exactly what we were looking for AND when we showed up, it was just as the photos showed. Very quaint - close waling distance to a GREAT restaurant The Pilot House. We were in town for my niece's graduation from UNCW. We would stay here again. Dedicated parking spot, very nice upgrades, CLEAN, and located close to Riverwalk,
We had an amazing experience! Communication with the host was incredibly easy, the property itself was cozy and perfectly suited for a couples trip, and the location was ideal for anyone planning to walk downtown Wilmington. The host was friendly and communicative, making an early check-in possible and stress-free. Highly recommend!
